Title: Idea to help with the grind.
Post by: rustyspoon on September 02, 2011, 12:27:07 pm
Currently, you only get a 30xp increase per gen with a cap at an x1 at 1450 if I remember correctly. It used to be 100xp per gen which made it nice in that you could try out new builds faster, etc.

I suggest we go back to 100xp per gen, but keep the cap at 1450 at an x1. A lot of times, the patches for upkeep and xp only seem to affect the new people. This one is geared to help the new people and make everything a bit less grindy. High-gen people won't be affected at all, but it will really help out those gen 2's & 3's. With this you'll hit your max xp at around gen 5 or so. With this change, upkeep will probably have to be raised slightly to balance out the easier to achieve heirloom's, but it will probably help balance out the marketplace too.

What say ye?

+1. The maximum at x1 should not be 1450, though. I suggest something like 1800-2200.

Why not, make it harder to get from 31+ instead.

Or maybe change the ammount xp the multiplier gives according to level?

yes! than i can finally get some heirlooms, and faster than currently, it takes ages if you're not a hardcore player to get them.(though i'm a hardcore player)

many people see it as cod, and yes, it does take about as long in cod to prestige as it does here to retire, but in cod you keep getting new things, and from lvl 21 in crpg, you barely get any. after that lvl it's just grinding till you get to lvl 31. that isn't what the devs meant to do with the mod!(right?)
