Title: What is your favorite cRPG item!!

Silly post, I was running around in my peasant gear, and thought by myself: "Damm them boots look pretty, inst4 love <3"

So my favourite item is "Rus shoes", I think they look cute and awesome, Narf(I believe it's him) made some splendid work on the Rus pack, and those are my favourite boots. Plus, that Rus pack makes Warband almost look like a decent next-gen game, so I like it!

I remember in first Mount & Blade the Swadian Sergeants were terrifying with these pike. And it was also usable on Horse without shield. :D

But in cRPG this weapon is a little useless.

I remember that in the old patch i once killed The_Finn with  da warhamma, (I backstabbed him,probably he had 0.0001% hp), i was happy and i abused the chat until i got tired of spamming.If i'm not wrong warhamma was fast at that time.
I miss The_Finn and his horse, he should be the only guy allowed to use a plated charger.  Other cav should just use the rouncey  :twisted:

Waow, I go to sleep, thinking everyone will ignore this Thread, and I see 3 pages already, thanks a lot, there are some really unexpected ones, it's cool to see what the community likes, keep on posting, I'm hungry! Actually is the only plate armor ingame that looks realistic, every plate armor made you look obese, since they left a space between you and the armor itself. Mosty coz while an armor will stop many "killing things", many of these actually pierced the armor, just not enough to make contact with flesh, or just not enough to make nasty wounds. So that obese look its what really saves your life. The other armors look cool, but they are "too flat". Btw my favourite item ingame is the longsword....even if im 1hander...

nah its cheap nearly same skills as arabian horse when steppe is champ.so its really good choice for 1h shield cav that prefer fight on foot but start on horseback.so its best horse for phaz :mrgreen:

These are honestly the nicest looking boots for me, though Shynbaulds or however you spell them come close.

They are also useful in many applications, and match a great amount of my outfits for a lot of my characters.

In the end, they just look really nice so I like them more then any other item in the game.

A close runner up would be the Felt Hat since it is my signature helm for my main and reminds me of a friend, or the winged helm since it reminds me of Teutonic/KotN knights,

For some reason I totally love 1H/2H weapons, although they don't end up being entirely practical. Goedendag (aka Spiked Staff) was my favorite when playing singleplayer. I just love the Heavy BS though. Maybe once it's MW and, oh, say 9PS I'll start actually getting decent kills with it.

Jack of all trades like the italian sword except it has higher cut and can be used as an archer offhand or 2h weapon.  Works very well for a lot of my builds anyways.

Actually I'm one of the uber-rare EU players that use the bec, and I bet there aren't more than a dozen of heirloomed bec users out there (and I've never seen any other MW bec on the ground). So it's really my favorite item, although from an NA perspective my post really looked sarcastic  :P

every weapon have his use. in tight brawls and with good pike/shielders cover, a mauler can destroy half a team in seconds. a swordsman can not (if the opponents are wake enough to see the incoming swings).

but yes i forgot your skill meter. running around in light armor with a 1h weapon without shield, doing some chambers show should make you happy.

using a maul efficiently versus fast longswords or LHB users or lolite spamitar spammers require decent timing, footwork and no errors. and if you use your recent 20/21 lolhammer spoken build only by spamming overheads, you'll have hard time versus decent opponents.

i'm not saying great mauls require impressive skills but making mistakes with that heavy thing is a sure and quick death. maulers can change the tide of the battle in few seconds with proper lucky hits but since opponents tend to gank you on sight, require teamwork.

agreed, so it kinda sucks that you get shitloads of heirloomed items after having found a set that is just upkeepable... and then upkeep gets raised and you cant use it without losing shitloads of gold :(

ANyways, my fav item must be the champ arabian horse because of the 'freedom' it provides. You can go wherever you want whenever you want and dont have to bother with boring running.

Though it's pretty mainstream (which I should be old enough to not care about :P and poles are becoming increasingly prevalent), as a Dane I really don't have much choice. I think the design is finely contoured and graceful for a GS, besides.

I also find the Wisby gloves a really beautiful piece of armament. Also looks like something you could easily crush a few skulls with. From a Scandinavian find aswell (trying to base my character on an early 15th century Danish soldier).

Scim + nord huscarl shield is the stupidest looking poop I've ever had the misfortune of looking at.

Technically, while no one historically who used a nordic huscarl style shield would have had a scimitar, they WERE used by some European noblemen as exotic weapons to show off their power and wealth. A number of portraits of kings and lords show them holding scimitars.

On the note of historically accurate outfits, I'd love to have a realistic pikeman outfit, but sadly all we have is the Morion, which, without any other realistic pikeman wear, just looks silly.
