Title: Pike Overhands and object collision

Hello people,


It appears that pikes can still overhand through teammates


Second, I also noticed that weapons can still morph through walls on the maps and hit me.

Will either of these be fixed? Can they be fixed?

As soon as 2her lolstabs into the ground and then up and through the opponents foot 10 secs later are fixed, or just the 5 second delay between animation completing and the 2her ceasing to deal full stab damage on the lolstabs.

Why doesn't long polearms have a hitbox on the shaft that does like 1 blunt dmg? Wouldn't that fix most problems?

As a polearmer, I can tell you that I glance a lot post patch. Don't know why, but it's enough of a nerf already for me.

It wouldn't affect that at all. The tip has its own hitbox.

Nope.
Both things in the OP are very hard/impossible to fix, while weapon going into the ground will be fixed soon.

Why not eliminate the ability to overhand with pikes and long spears and replace it with the overhand stab recently implemented in WFAS? It would eliminate the ludicrous overhand spam and relegate the pike to an anti-horse weapon, like it's supposed to be.

We don't have permission from TaleWorlds to use animation from WFaS...
I've been lobbying (:D) for quite a while for the removal of the Long Spear overhead attack (IMO it looks extremely silly), but the item balancers disagree.

Some downwards facing lolstab abusers are in deep shit naow! Right cmp? xD I bet it's only 2h'ers. Polearms will still be able to hit through the ground and polestun will be increased.

don't polearms already collide with the ground? I don't fight like a pussy so I suppose they could go through and I haven't discovered it in the 2 gens i've been pole.

No weapons collide with ground (just in open maps though, they do in buildings and such).

Indeed, on siege when on walls or such, I bounce off the floors a lot with overheads on a lot of weapons (lately elite scimi).

Yes, the fact that if we change it, every polearm will now have that as overhead animation.

Everybody knows Long spears and pikes are made of morphing ghost material that when it comes into contact with the ground it enters and it can't be seen, same thing with buildings. Lolstabs are just a interwarp stab that goes so fast it breaks the ground.
So fix them.


LONG MAUL STABBING OVERHEAD THAT CAN CRUSH THROUGH, YES PLEASE!

Long maul overhead should knockdown all players in a certain area if it hits the ground, to make this balanced the weight should be increased and the speed lowered.

This picture demonstrates such effect.

As you can see it is possible with a 1h sword if there is enough speed behind the weapon, as such a long maul should achieve this easily.

What about weapons hitting through doors?

It's pretty retard that you can kill someone behind a door (plain door ofc), also it works for some weapons (2h, some pole) but not for others (pike, long spears...).

It looks like this feature is not functioning properly as well. Very often when I fight a guy with a long weapon who stands right next to a wall, I get hit by his side swing which goes directly through the mentioned wall. On the contrary, while fighting the guy who stands right above me on the ladder my overhead swing can through him, deal no damage, and bounce off the ladder. But these issues are not limited to cRPG only, I saw it happen in Native as well.

Well I just tried it and I couldn't figure out why you would ever stab the ground anyway, so it's not really a nerf.

Even the nuttiest spinthrust feints don't go thorugh ground

Viking mod uses a overhead stab(they rest spears on thier shoulders) cant you just import that like you imported their armors?

I'd give that priority too, that's just too ridiculous sometimes.
