Someone in IRC suggested I make an actual thread for the comics I've been drawing, so I figured I might as well. Most of em are throwing related.
Any more I draw I'll post here. Most of them are topical so I'll give a short explanation.

(A comic that was supposed to be about 2 handers and pole users being able to wiggle around seizure style while running to make their hitboxes warp around and be hard to hit. Ended up being more about high athletics plate wearers so I may try again. If I had said nothing you would have never known!)

Yeah that was the original point. I quit the lobbyist game though. Was a bit of a waste of time. I'm just drawing to entertain everyone now.

These are the funniest comics I've seen in quite awhile, especially the one with the dancing platemailer.

Can't remember. The thrower was the guy who wears the Tourney Armour and uses throwing axes all the time. It hit someone in Sarranid guard armour, who took fives axes before he went down. One looked like it was in his head, but that was probably just an illusion. So, pretty much just like the comic.

couching ppl is useless (you'll get outranged by 2h and even 1h swords killing your horse)

Oh. I went on vacation. Going home soon though and new comics will follow.

Also I said I quit the lobbyist game not the cRPG game! I still play, and throw for some reason. I just mean I'm not wasting my time trying to influence game balance anymore. I found out that there isn't any.  :lol: I just draw for fun now.

Make one where I run at you with my pike, you hit me with one throwing spear/javelin in my chest, I continue charging and stab you, YOU DIE, BUT RELEASE A THROWING SPEAR AT THE VERY SAME TIME AND IT KILLS ME TOO. Axes commonly too.
This has happened 3 to 5 times between you and me specifically, and moreso with me vs other throwers. I always die after killing them and we both lie down in the grass looking at the stars, reminiscing our now glorious death spiral and eventual trek up the ladder stairway to heaven. Brothers in death, adversaries in life.

That picture is so true. Just picked up a pike today and tried this out. You only have to aim somewhere near the person you want to hit and wiggle around.

Do a long comic on a kiting archer, with a fat armoured knight chasing it, and running out of steam when the archer gets squished by a great maul from behind by a team-mate.

I branch off from time to time. I just usually draw about what I know.

13 shield skill is a fun build but not something that needs to be removed. To use a shield with 13 skill, you can only use the lowest tier peasant weapons and you get no other skills. I tried it out. It's fun to trick people into thinking you're an easy kill, but man it's near impossible to kill anyone else with no powerstrike and a cheap club.

The comics are good. But I liked the previous ones more. I miss the fire of lobbyism and rage in it. There could be a miserable group of archers and throwers in the background. And you only lost half HP to this without head armour? In an agi build?

Heavy throwing axe is 44c, he needs at least 4 PT and headshots are 240%.

I guess it hit the head but wasn't registered as a headshot for some weird reason, otherwise it would have killed you.

If you get shot in the head with any projectile but survive, it never shows up. Those actually hit the shoulders and got stuck at weird angles, they only look like they hit the head.

In fact, it does show up if it deals about 80 damage or more (which is enough to kill any non str build).

My STR build has got 92 hp, and I do sometimes see the projectile inside my head when it leaves me with about 10 hp (from full). Happened with an arbalest headshot the other day.

To be fair, i've only got 18 strength and 40 body armour and I can survive a throwing lance to the body over medium distance. Not that I want to see more throwers, they're still annoying and should only be a "secondary class" as it were, in my opinion, but that's because I'm an archer and 80% of the community wants us to explode when they look at us! :)

None the less, your pictures are brilliant and I would certainly vote for your image to be used as the cRPG loading screen!

He is a thrower, not a two hander. If he melees he uses the alternate mode, I have never seen him holding a normal melee weapon.

These are great.  I particularly like that it's from the perspective of a non-2H.

Seems like most complaints in this game are from 2Hers, and yet a look at the killspam typically shows:

I think you're looking at the icon for 2hers and thinking it's a flamberge. Flam is actually a pretty underpowered weapon.

Change "Flamberge" to "Danish Great Sword" or "2h Top tier sword".

Not gonna lie, when I was making that I kept sliding the layer around that had the weird M&B face so it looked like he was bobbing up and down behind the other archers. I should figure out how to make gifs some time...  :o
