The new patch seems great so far, just let people reset their heirlooms and move on with improving cRPG more + Strategus please.

I will not donate and i do not have voice in this then.
 I like the xp/gold system but i dislike almost everything else. Probably i would not play in it even if i find and open slot.

question: those new chars could play only in that server or also in strategus(when :D) and other servers.

If you wanna make a grind focused cRPG, but actually don't like grind at all, then why don't you make a totally grindless version of cRPG, called "cRPG light" or something like that? In your post you seem to say that you don't like the character development aspect in online games at all!

The idea is basing on my old suggestion:

Characters get an additional, attribute-independant skill which increases the maximum value of items they can use.

You can create a fixed number of characters (about 10 or so) you can choose every round as your "class". Those characters are not bound to any limitations, they are all of one max level and have access to every piece of equipment. To have better equipment they have to sacrifice skill points. 2 skill points can be converted into one attribute point, and vice versa.

This would place the RPG part where it belongs to: supporting your personal play style and the tactic you are following on the battlefield. If you win it's because of your skill in combination with your RPG choice, not because you have spent more time playing than others.

To keep some kind of long term motivation there could be some special items to be unlocked, which only LOOK differently, but don't have better stats. It's just to make other players recognize you on the battlefield, which is truer (?) roleplaying than some weird skill points and character values  :rolleyes:

no, they would exclusively be limited to those server(s).

Hey chadz, the current patch is great, really well balanced. - I've played my level 30 HA, and been leveling a polearm guy with no heirloom items  for that build -

Two c-rpgs would just not work in my opinion. Specially with TaleWorlds new game comming out.

Please read this:

I am not familiar Taleworlds copyright documents, but am assuming you cannot make money off people paying to play the mod (maybe pay for password as you say its ok)

I propose you look into charging for heirloom as a different option to retiring - That way people that doesn't want to retire can get their items. Money could be for you or for keeping the servers up.

Legally you could walk around copyright law for M&B by accepting payment for a change in a database unrelated to game itself (i.e you could just generate items without the database if you wanted too)

This way, people with time, or that don't want to pay, can simply retire - Other people could just pay for heirloom. Quick paypal payments are fast and secure. Maybe charge €2-€3 heirloom per heirloom.


It is just an idea that I think should to be considered, it could fix all the whinning by people that don't want to retire. Most people could afford it.

And on a personal opinion, I don't think any more item rebalancing will be needed. So a new patch to balance the main stream items probably wont be needed.

I like the idea of a seperate game mode featuring super characters ect, but! There must be grind! Getting xp and gold for suiciding? Boring!

I saw this one coming really. Is this a method you have invented to keep people content with the new patch? People would be made to make a decision to pay for the cRPGplus ( which looks like the original cRPG which was real fun) or the current free cRPG version ( which has been whined about a lot).

IMHO, most will go for the free version and have to deal with it, and whining will be gone? For those who keep on whining, you will say, "well there's the cRPGplus version, buy it if you don't like the free version". And you'll make people pay for a game which was announced to be "free" forever. Because i believe cRPGplus is no different than the original cRPG that attracted this many players.

I didn't find this attitude honest enough.

I would rather ask you to give your time to strategus instead.

chadz look here buddy if you make this PTP (Pay to play) then they will just go to the mercenaries mod which is exactly like cRPG u make a character lvl him and get weapons and stuff but you know what ?

fuck that id rather pay 5 euro a month for something thats worth playing and not laggy than play half finished "mercenary mod" or overpatched cRPG as it stands today.

the thing that caught my eye was my own private servers.

for me that reads no lag good quality play. unlike now.

for that reason only id pay to play.
And now he can't play because of "common sense" and he doesn't understand how this common sense works
