if you have some knowledge in eqing, proper usage of filters etc etc you can make decent sound even  with vst synths, drum mashines......
im not that good in mastering but almost 20 years in music production learn me how to make proper track mixdown.

Yeah you're not wrong. I use VST's alot aswell, alot more than my hardware atm but clicking around with your mouse doesn't come even close to the feeling of actually having something you can tweak with your fingers. Afterall for me making music isn't that much about whether the mix is good. It's more about the enjoyment that I get from making it and for me staring a screen doesn't provide it as well as jamming with my gear.

Well its been ages since we had a loom flash sale;can someone convince Dupre to authorize one. We are the loyal subjects of C-rpg and should be shown the love. In addition, most of us backed OKAM and lost out on that crapshoot.

Fucking clickbait. Fuck you cunt..

oh yeah have you ever used any of the pocket operators? im really thinking about getting the sub

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zr1a8NFl6Eo

its only 59 USD which is ridiculous for the sound this thing makes

I've read about those but never used one. I don't really know anything about them apart from that they're alot more powerful than they look lol.

TX81Z is a pretty awesome synth. I will be making a euro rackmount synth myself over the course of my lifetime soon, and that is most def going to be one of the first things I add to it.

damn eurocrack. I've heard so many horrorstories about that stuff.

I also own the Sample and I highly highly recommend the FM. The FM modulation using the knobs isnt all that great feeling but you can use a VST like Dexed to make patches and import/export to go beyond the 32 patch limit. You need an audio interface to do that though.

Yeah i've been thinkin about buying a decent FM synth like TX81Z since i dont own one yet. The problem is that right now i dont really have space to work with my gear so i'm mostly ITB

Eh I am personally not too fond of sample based synths. I love FM myself, the biggest reason I am going for a MIDI keyboard is to hook up to my Korg Volca FM. After that I maye or may not buy a Yamaha DX7 or the rack module version TX7

yea, i dont really like romplers that much either but that thing is a classic and i got it for cheap. Thought about buying volca FM aswell but it's kinda meh. I do have the bass and the sampler from the volca series tho, they're fun little toys

You should see the monster I unearthed from a closet. This was from one of my dad's bands back in the 80's, needs a little repair work but is otherwise functional with ocassional sound glitching which is kinda cool in its own way. http://www.matrixsynth.com/2010/07/cdx-synthesizer-model-0622.html

Greatest synth/rompler in the history. Too bad it weighs like 200kg and doesnt fit anywhere in my house.
