lol yeah played siege today and over 50% of my deaths were by ranged.
go back to your roofs in battle.....
actually in siege they did very well. a lot of archers got really good stats
and were in the top scores.

yes but at least if you get headshot at the spawn, you respawn again in seconds.. we can even live with that .. while in battle no. so less pain...

lol the situation on EU 1 atm is horrible, only 40-50 ppl most of them ranged, shotguns around every corner, easy topping the charts with and archer troll alt.

come one come all we having fun!

i think there is no point playing a game if isn't fun. that's why i don't play normal battles anymore. pity the ranged assjam start to infest siege servers too.

Corrado, Visual Studio is an IDE (integrated development enviroment) and is not the same thing as Microsoft Visual C++ Redist package or the framework.

yeah but lot of other stuff require it so i just took the VS too.

i did re-download .Net framework 4 from microsoft .i tried it again this morning no effect .

i dont have visual studio , not out of my OS anyway and i cant find a way to get that visual studio 2010 without buying it and franctly im not about to do that for a warband launcher :/

i'd like to give you more info on the problem like what is missing ? but im not sure what to look for.

Verily, you should know what to protect your pc from, not have a program tell you

yeah for lazy asses that don't want to clean their mess up everytime (with like Combofix, CCleaner, GMER, manual registry edit)

there is Avira Free. work wonders. i set it up by default on every customer's pc. or Windows Essentials Security Package.

Avast and AVG are heavy as trucks, norton too. NOD32 and Avira are really light euristic based antiviruses... never had issues. while AVG did a disaster 2 years ago by deleting a false positive windows core dll.

kaspersky is not bad too... but anyway with a modem-router with integrated firewall, you really don't need any antiviruses unless you surf warez/pr0n sites... but there is ubuntu for that

Arcvhers are fine it takes 3-4 arrows with 8pd for me to kill a medium armored guy so it's fair.

SHUT UR SHIT UP STOP BITCHING

 

3-4 arrows with pd8 on say a 45 armor "guy"?

Missing libraries and similar errors are usually .NET framework shit. Just try reinstalling .NET framework.

yeah true. .NET stuff and Visual Studio 2008-2010 stuff.. almost the same to me

i've been trying for a week , launcher crashes on opening :

unable to find a version of the runtime to run this application

antivirus software is off , i tried it on desktop , in m&b warband directory and in module directory, same result.

it'd be cool to have a 2nd option to the launcher , folder straight from m&b repository would be nice for those of us having trouble with the launcher ... im not the only one i think.

maybe you need to install ambient software like visual studio runtime? we need cmp to tell us what runtime libraries you need.

Btw Auto Balance is fine.

many many times i fought in 15vs25-30 and sometimes winning just to see the red text "you don't get a bonus multiplicator. Team1-14500 Team2-234356736345345635767

i even saw a 8vs25. elite players in team1, peasants and average jam in team2. team1 obviously won with the 8 players doing a race bout the score. so no...

autobalance "should" mix high teamvalue players with low teamvalue players.

For the record, DTV is only empty because you lose a ton of gold to play on it. Fix the gold-sink and suddenly you'd see a lot more players on it.

DTV provides a nice haven for people wanting to chill, especially new players. They enjoy DTV a lot, actually, but then they have no repair bills to contend with. You'd think chadz would want to help sheppard in new players but I've only heard that the mode is not getting any more development which is just plain short-sighted. A few small tweaks would go a long way towards fixing it.

because fixing stuff is boring... coding new ideas is not... at least is what i suppose.. stronghold, ctf, siege, dtv, battle, strategus... siege, battle and strat almost flawlessly works!

that sucks, I agreed to buy ti at 475k, then you all bumped the price, and a fake bidder boosted the bloody price. Back to square one!

well is not end until he actually sells it so.. i just can't stay for more than 540k. blame the wall street wannabe brokers selling and trading stuff the whole day.
