I remember when we called Ataturk ''Aptalturk'' and all the Turks here (think 2011 or 2012 at the time) went completely insane and angry.

Gazda came up with it, I was doing marketing

Ataturk used to be big five years ago, not anymore lul

Turks went bonkers when I wore Armenian genocide anniversary banner. While Russians gave zero fucks over Azov banner.

"some others believe that Ukko's original name was Baltic Perkele."
That's incorrect, "perkeleh" meant an evil spirit.

I could see it, tbh. Pre-christian religions were often portrayed as demonic, especially in the early periods of conversion when the memory of the old gods was still strong. Wouldn't surprise me if a holy word or a god's name got turned into the word for "evil spirit".

It's always the lightning, in every goddamn religion main guy wields the lightning bolt.

Understandable, considering that religion is product of human deepest emotion, fear. And what do you fear the most? Well lightning of course. It can split a giant three in less than a second or petrify the stone rock, gorilla and tiger can't compare to it.

Quote
In 2007 scientists found astraphobia is the third most prevalent phobia in the US.

Pretty widespread. And poisonous snakes or spiders (or whatever comes first and second) while nasty aren't always deadly and surely aren't present globally.

Thor ain't no main, just popular. Maybe cos of the lightning.

Yeah same thing with Taranis. Not even the main god in the celtic triumvirate, which we only have a couple contemporary sources for anyways. Could just be a random classification some romans imposed. May have been a central god for certain tribes and just another part of the pantheon for others.

Thunder and lightning, war, ugliness, darkness (underworld), decay, trickery and death go hand in hand. Some religions depict those as separate Gods who are closely related, in some it is the one or two Gods. Just like sun, light, wisdom, beauty and justice go together.

Aztec God Xolotl pretty much covers 'evil' attributes himself. No need for half a dozen Gods to depict every single attribute. Also should be taken into account that ancient cultures weren't big on logic, so having multiple Gods who are basically the same in nature shouldn't be unheard of. Especially if they come from different lands but are patch together by some ancient scribe aka early 'historian'. Also those who did drawings and monuments might not be the brightest of the bunch. It's funny how anthropology approaches discoveries like super IQ aliens lived back in the days and not intellectually inferior humans (compared to modern average). Everything ancient people did is held to such high regard. How the fuck we know what were the motives behind those scriptures and drawing? It's all guesswork based on very limited data sources. What if some drawing were done by a prankster yet we consider them as a key evidence in some important proof?

Turkic peoples were always afraid of being assimilated. It is the reason why they didn't invade China in the first place. They've foreseen the fates of the ones that desired more exotic women.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genetic_studies_on_Turkish_people

"According to Cinnioğlu et al. (2004),[7] there are many Y-DNA haplogroups present in Turkey. The majority of the haplogroups found in the people of Turkey are shared with their West Asian and Caucasian neighbours. The most commonly found haplogroup in Turkey is J2 (24%), which is widespread among the Mediterranean, Caucasian and West Asian populations. By contrast, Central Asian haplogroups are rarer (N and Q – 5.7%) but this figure may rise to 36% if K, R1a, R1b and L (which infrequently occur in Central Asia, but are notable in many other Western Turkic groups) are also included. Haplogroups that are common in Europe (R1b and I – 20%), South Asia (L, R2, H – 5.7%) and Africa (A, E3*, E3a – 1%) are also present."

(click to show/hide)

TL;DR: "turks" in Anatolia are largely the descendents of the various groups of people that lived in and migrated to the area hundreds and sometimes thousands of years before the first hun or turk or mongol ever showed up. The conquests and tribal migrations of Seljuks and other turkic tribes (who had already ruled over and lived in Persia for a while and weren't even "turkish" anymore anyways) was not a population replacement, at most it was elite replacement.

Like a lot of historical ethnic rivalries, the one between greeks and turks is, beneath it all, almost a brotherly war. Ok, perhaps too close, maybe distant cousins? Point is they have more in common with each other than they think.

Title: Re: Turks on the internet

It's just the word "Turk" can be pulled towards many directions and it causes confusion. Is "Turk" a citizen of Turkey, or a descendant of historical Turkic tribes, such as Oghuz,Kipchak,Uyghur etc.. Many Turks don't know who they are descendant from, my grandfather can name up to 5-6 of his ancestors, some have names that are Arabic-descendant like "Abdurrahman". Though most of us have colored eyes and fair hair in the family and we are from Black Sea region. "Kemalist Nationalism" suggests that anyone who is a citizen of Turkey, is a Turk. That means Assyrians, Circassians, Kurds, Laz people, all identifies as a "Turk" -which they don't because of generations of neo-ottomanist discrimination cus we are too stupid to breathe- . Though I came to the point where I don't care at all because I've reached the peak of self-haterness, cba about muh glorious world power nation while everyone laughs at us with their arses. Hope I made my point though.

I am expecting Panos at pilgrimage in İstanbul this Christmas. He will just fit in.

It makes as much sense as a common era classification as "ary4n". It would be as if french suddenly decided they were entirely glorious germanics and that the invasion and conquest of the franks, which gave their name to the nation, somehow completely replaced any trace of celtic and roman and etc people who had resided there for centuries prior.

Anglos love their centuries old moldy propaganda, you should know that by now. The rapprochement with and mythologizing of german cultural origins was largely due to the hereditary centuries old rivalry with the french, which they did their best to distance themselves from in terms of origins and culture. The propaganda still hasn't caught up to 20th century "cordial entente" between us, maybe in a century or two you'll get moronic brits waxing eloquent about the brotherly bonds between themselves and the french, if there's such a thing as british and french anymore.

Tbf the english do have more of a legitimate claim, if only because the elite replacement caused a large language shift. The franks were latinized and largely addopted the language of the people they conquered, the anglo-saxons imposed their own "lingua franca".

No, the franks spoke a variety of related german dialects, "lingua franca" is specifically the language that emerged largely from the vulgar latin of the gallic provinces.

Hey if this is /pol/ now it works both ways;

Just imagine it. Your great great balkan grandmother, spread out on the barn of a forsaken shitty slavic balkan town. An Ottoman officer arrives to inspect the town-- when he decides that while he's there, he wants to enjoy some fine slavic peasant whores. His hands on his waist, he orders your ancestor to spread her ugly outie slavic cunt wide. Your great great grandmother complies and finally realizes that somehow... she is eager. She's scared yes... because she can hear her cuck husband crying back in the house (he obviously is a coward since he's a slav). But although she is scared, she also has this weird sensation of excitement foaming up within her soul. It's as if she is ashamed but eager, wanting of the strange new sensation that's about to enter her very being. The Ottoman Turkish officer, obviously a purposeful Turcoman leader of men-- from Ankara, unclasps his belt, and drops his breeches. There it is. We see sight of it. A massive, glorious, staggering 9 inch girth circumcised penis, pulsing with energy. Your great grandmother gasps, she bites her lip, she closes her eyes, and just like that as the penis touches her labie, an electric shock makes her delve into a land of pleasure and feelings she has never felt with a puny balkan man. Inch by inch, millimeter by millimeter, the Turkish masterrace fits inside you great great grandmother. It has only been 20 seconds, but your ancestor is already shuddering with a boiling orgasm roiling up like a thunderous explosion within her loins. Its a forest blaze of ecstasy. And at this moment she begins crying. She cries due to one reason... Why didn't she get taken by this Turk earlier? She is now disgusted with herself by ever being coupled with the puny Bulgarian man at all. She begins chanting, like some occult freak, in Bulgarian. She chants with every short breath to the Turkish officer.

"Come. Come. Come. Come."

and thats how balkanshit's race came to be...

I think you think people are way more stupid than they are, Heskey. You really think me or Xant posted those pictures 'trying to prove a point'? Or that we really think they are representative of the entire country? That no degree of irony was involved? Or that I truly believe I choose pictures at completely random which then by some strange coincidence just happens to coincide with whatever you think my worldview is? Please stop pointing out kindergarden level truisms.

Stats from OkCupid and Tinder, two of the biggest dating apps at the moment, seems to confirm the fact that we are prejudiced in favour of white people when we date.

Ok Cupid found that all races, except black men and women, consistently rate white women and men higher than other races.

This trend is not apparent for any other race, except for Asian women who are consistently voted higher by every other race.

Black women fare the worst, with every race, including black men, voting them lower, and they are closely followed by black and Asian men.

It's interesting how fast things have changed. In the 90s, seeing a black person on the street in Helsinki was rare, and practically unheard of in the northern half of the country. In the 80s, young children would point at black people and think it's a costume because maybe one in 300,000 was black.

Now the capital area looks very, uhm, multicultural and diverse. The main railroad station is always surrounded by dozens of Arabs.

Finland's done well in many tests in part because the population is one of the most homogenous in the world. I don't think it'll be a good time for Europe when whites become the minority or near-minority. Or for the US for that matter, when whites become the minority in ~2040.

After all, it's the "white culture" that's created Europe and the US, and the diverse people coming in from other parts of the world are leaving because their countries are shit holes, yet many want to bring their culture, the one that's responsible for the shittiness, with them.

I don't think the multicultural folk will really go for the whole toaster thing, which is why it's ironic the SJWs tend to be the most excited about unconstrained immigration.

I know black people and Arabs that I think are Finns just like the natives, they talk like us and have similar values as us, but sensible immigration is all about limits, because by taking in too many too soon, you don't integrate the immigrants into the society, they instead form their own little enclaves that become the breeding ground for crime and terrorism as they get more and more separated from the original society as generations go by and the parents teach their kids the values, language and traditions of their old homelands. There are of course exceptions to this, thanks mostly to the schooling system, but in large part the Somalis stick with the other Somalis, and they only learn from their parents, and same for the Iraqis, etc.

If someone immigrates into a country, they should try to adapt to that culture, instead of stubbornly insisting their old one is superior and it's racism nobody will let them practice Sharia law.

women
 — all women preferred men of their own race
 — but they otherwise penalized both Asian and black men

I'm half asian, maybe I should remove that from my OkCupid profile. Or maybe I'm just ugly and only fat chicks could like me. Or maybe there's just a lot of fat chicks on OkC.

https://theblog.okcupid.com/race-and-attraction-2009-2014-107dcbb4f060

I don't think that has much to do with physical attraction or good looks, it's about money and good outcome in life. Asian people at the same time envy and hate white people, to the point where they openly worship them. Every Asian girl who ever went outside of Asia wants a white husband, because their mothers told them they'll be successful in life that way.

Truth to be told, every other race other than black people have same opinion of black people who come from Africa. White people are painted as the worst but yellow people think the same of African people. Especially because yellow people are very goal oriented, they value progress and inventions white race made more than whites today do. Today, Asians are more prejudiced against black than whites are. Media is trying to lump everyone together against whites who are super villains, while everybody else is just doing fine together. That is simply not true.

White people are where they are today because they put a serious shift, sacrficied many things (including morals), which in the end gave results because frankly, this world doesn't give a damn what human concepts of religion and morals clasify as proper and unproper behavior. If black people put the same effort, they would never end up as slaves nor would be looked down. It's the same at individual level, you either create success for yourself or slowly watch how everyone, including your own family start to alienate you, look down upon you and staight exploit and abuse you in various ways. It's not different at macro level.

Main problem with modern western society and its social values is dishonesty. Everybody tries to pretend how we're all holding hands together and singing kumbaya, to the point where people are indoctrinated in that belief in very similar fashion like religion operates. We just replaced Christianity with this political correctness nonsense.

Edit: I'll give you local example, two (supposedly) nations that belong to Caucasian spectrum. Medieval Serbia was Slavic country, Turkey was Turkic. Turks came to Serbia, defeated Serbs and in a way enslaved them. Lasted for five centuries or so. Same happened in Africa, except black people didn't get to stay in Africa, winners were more interested in people than they were in land they conquered. So they transported those slaves to America. Black people were first defeated, then enslaved. If they weren't defeated at war, they would never be enslaved in the first place. Today our society likes to omit this fact.

Evebody is 'racist', even black people. As long you believe your own culture is 'oh so unique' you're being 'racist' to others. There are village elders somewhere in Somalia who believe their culture and skin color are correlated in some way, that black people culture is some predermined thing that comes with birth and isn't purely guided by variables of life.

There are backwards highlander societies in Ethiopia, in Ireland, in Mongolia and in Bosnia. They share many similarities. Able men at the top of the foodchain who have absolute rights and do nothing whole days, discussing 'future' of the tribe. Women who have little to no rights, worker bees basically and children who go through rites of passage to become one of the two (able men or women workers). It's the same at every shithole mountain village on this planet and differs only because of external variables, such as nature. Skin color has no effect on such behavior. Yet black canibals think that's THEIR unique trait, same like Bosnia fuckwads or Mongolese pony fuckers.

They also knit sweaters from wool which comes from sheep. If so unique, why not produce clothing from different materials?

we've been doing it for centuries.

There was never any "we". Every European power was always at each other's throats in constant war, the average European peasant was no better off than a slave till the mid-late 1700's.

By the time Europeans started interacting with Africans and Native Americans they had 0 sympathy for them only contempt and disgust. They had no qualms slaughtering other Europeans for interpreting the bible differently, why would they have a problem enslaving or killing savages who practiced paganism and cannibalism? There were 0 redeeming qualities about these newly encountered people, only unprovoked hostility and rampant barbarism, they hadn't even invented the wheel yet after 1000's of years.

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world-0/tower-human-skulls-found-archaeologists-mexico-aztec-history-doubt-a7818841.html

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skull_Tower

A sultan of Morocco had a bunch of slaves build a giant wall for him, after they were finished he had their skulls mortared into it as decoration.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barbary_slave_trade

1.2 million white Europeans were enslaved in North Africa lul. It's true that Muslims treated their slaves better comparatively to sub-saharn Africans, who would frequently sacrifice or cannibalize them alive in pagan rituals.

The Ottomon Empire would keep Trophies of well-known vanquished Europeans in Istanbul. They would have their corpses hollowed out and stuffed with straw like scarescrows and bring them out for puppet shows at court and parades. 100% savagery.

But ofc, mean evil whitey europeans

Even today middle eastern kindgoms use slaves, but I don't see much attention given to that in western media.

Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Qatar have Indian and South-East Asian slaves. Facts have no place in the anti-white liberal media agenda.

I have meticulously gathered the opinions of architects and masons, and they all agree that turkish canons couldn't possibly have battered the walls given the caliber of the ammunition and strength of the gunpowder. I plan to publish my findings under a scroll titled "Loose Denari". NO IT'S NOT A CONSPIRACY, IT'S THE JEWS I TELL YOU THE JEEEEWS *foams at mouth*.
