Beginner's Help and Guides / How to Horse Archer and ranged in general (need halp)

So for starters, I'm trying new things/builds and trying to move away from polearm easy mode, however I have no fucking clue what I'm doing. I created a character for every "class" in the game and I'm usually just pissing about and switching characters to try everything, but I'm struggling with ranged the most.

With the damage and speed nerfs, what is a good Horse archer build? Also, how does one aim on horseback? I'm unsure if I need to aim directly on the target, lead the target, or aim slightly behind the target since I'm galloping. I imagine the easiest answer is to simply slow down or stop, but that simply doesn't look cool.

Also if someone can tell me how to aim a crossbow/bow/throwing on foot as well that would be great. I've found it's harder to hit people who don't know I'm aiming at them, so advice on aiming at people who are running perpendicular to me would be lit.

Alright, listen to me if you want to fix this beautiful mod.

1. Fix stable servers. High ping and downtime kills the mod everytime it gets a slight revival.
2. Re-do strat, one calradia map for both NA and EU. Strat can't survive with seperate strat scenes and the occasional "Fun battle!!!" With enough players from both continents drama and real wars will be created and people will start to play the game again.
3. Reset. Everything. You. Fucking. Idiots. Ignore the "but muh looms" virgin squad. Fuck em. They won't quit. Grinding from 0 again along with a strat reset with both continents together = surge in interest
4. Also, what the fuck is this thread? Priorities please

No problem, make me moderator/admin and I'll single handedly save this mod

Idk I quite like the idea of adding Native American armor. Crpg was always (not sure about 2011 years) western euro knights using bardiches and scimitars vs Russia bois using katanas and long bows vs steppe bois using longswords and pikes etc anyways.
The only people I ever saw on NA actually following any kind of immersion/historical theme was Acre, a Byzantine clan (I think is EU) and a couple small niche clans which usually died a month later (I was a part of at least 3 of the many niche clans).

I think wipe or no wipe I would do what I do after every update: Play for a day, tell other Yoshi's game is alive, one other Yoshi gets on, play for a week to a month, stop playing till next update. I wouldn't mind a wipe, but I'm biased because I never used a single piece of armor for more than a week anyways. I play crpg for the dress-up mini-game.

I found it fun af. I honestly thought it was a peasant revolt event until I saw people complaining about having no gear. I loved bringing 0 str weapons for the naked dudes. Even gave one guy a short bow one round bcuz 0 power draw requirement, was shit tho.

2. A new swap where you quickly drop the weapon (as if unsheathable) and immediately draw your next weapon. This would be the obvious go-to option for any ranged suddenly ambushed in melee, and imo would partially resolve ranged kiting. An archer/xbower could stow their weapon only if they had the awareness to see the attacker coming in time, otherwise they'd have to drop it, otherwise they'd have to try and fight with a bow in melee. This would also potentially impact hoplite classes and others with a sidearm, realism debate aside (who has time to sheath a weapon effectively in the middle of a fight?) it could make for interesting gameplay where people have a reason to win that fight to retrieve the shit they dropped, and a soft penalty for running away.

It'd be too much effort to do for cRPG so I originally proposed it for OKAM. Maybe cRPG Bannerlord would consider it.

They already have this feature in cRPG, except its for daggers only. You can assign a button for it In the controls menu, its called "Quick Draw". It probably wouldn't be too difficult to extend coverage to other weapons. It basically makes you drop your weapon and pull out your dagger extremely quickly, allowing you to shank the guy in the face almost immediately.
