NA (Official) / Ban Request: KbW_DinnerPlate_the_Unwashed

Is trying to intentionally get your teammate to TW you bannable? If so this ban thread is for KbW_DinnerPlate_the_Unwashed. If trolling is not bannable than ignore this post. He was literally running in between an enemy and my swings trying to get me to hit him. I said in admin chat that he was running in front of me being a cunt. Please check the logs. ty. 4:45ish eastern STANDARD August 7th if he was correct in his thread about the time of the incident.

4. He was running in between my melee fights trying to get me to TW him and get kicked from the server. He wanted to get me to 5/5 to kick me.
5. Cause I ran him over with a horse and he wanted to be a baby about it.
6. Screenshots - Don't have any. I would like to point out the first screenshot in his ban thread literally nothing to do with what happened. The 3rd picture on his ban thread is a picture of random KUTT members at the start of a round (2 of his 3 screenshots are of nothing, literally). He only has a screenshot of the text log with me hitting him. If I was doing this a lot as he said, you think he would have at least one of me running him over. He has been playing this game how long? He didn't know a horse was coming to take a proper screenshot of being teamwounded? Give me a break.
7. No idea who was there. I did say in admin chat he was trying to run in between my fights and that we was being a cunt. Should be in the log roughly around the listed time.

General Discussion / Raiding Napoleon

So I had a fun idea I wanted to share.

Lets group up as the NA CRPG community and raid the napoleon server with a Footguard unit (the ones with more melee proficiency). Play very aggressive / rush melee asap.

cRPG_<Name>  (and yes wear your clan tags with your name so people can find you when they come)

Why would we do this?

A) Promote cRPG for more players.

B) 90% of the people on NW are TERRIBLE at melee. We would annihilate them.

C) Pretty sure if we could get 10-20 of us we could steamroll most of the server.

I think it would be fun good fun and beneficial for the game. win win?

Diablo 3 at launch was disappointing to me because once you got to inferno it was a solo grind for gear. 99% of gear that dropped was pure trash. Playing a demon hunter it was simply avoid any damage or die, and kill everything as fast as possible. Very few builds were even viable in inferno because you had to max DPS to get anywhere.

This game HAS CHANGED!!! It is now the Diablo 3 everyone was wanting. Believe me I was a hater until I played myself a few days ago.
- All abilities are AWESOME and any build is viable
- They got rid of neph. bonus so you can freely switch between builds depending on the situation
- Loot is tailored to your character
- Legendary's are proper awesome now
- Elites have been 100% reworked. New abilities, lower damage higher HP. They feel like they should
- Mini bosses have been tweaked or flat out reworked and are much better mechanically
- The more players the more gold/exp/loot you get and it actually encourages playing with people(the new Neph buff)
- Paragon system is cool

This game is a lot of fun now and by far is the best ARPG out there. PoE is fun and Im not hating on it, but its more a statement of how far D3 has come. Try it out!

Suggestions Corner / European +XP Map Rotation

I love the server, it makes being a peasant much less painful. I would like to recommend and poll about a new map rotation. I personally would like to see smaller maps(such as the gladiator arena to slightly larger maps) to limit the space needed to run for battles. On this server everyone is fairly slow at running, and once the battles start they go quick. The current rotation isn't bad but I think it could be better.

Game Balance Discussion / Lancer

Alright I have a fair amount of lancer experience. I came back in the last week to find that they have nerfed them severely. I understand the turn speed nerf across the board but it highly effects lancing from higher speed horses. The main problem I have with this is it seems to highly effect the registry of the hitbox on the weapon. I have MANY occasions where my lance goes straight through the person and doesn't hit them. I'm not saying they hit me first and my spear just looked like it hit them, it just  flat out ghosts through them with no contact interrupting my swing. Coupled now with having to run directly at a target to lance them, it is extremely frustrating taking the risk and not getting a reward.

The second nerf was the arc that you are allowed to point the spear in. This nerf I don't understand what so ever. The arc went from 180 to what, 60 degrees? If some one gets on my side I cannot touch them. It makes no sense that I cant thrust my spear left or right. HA and HX can abuse the hell out of the swing arc and you can never touch them while they turn just run in circles around you. Fighting people on the ground, anyone halfway decent with a 2h/pole can now thrust attack and beat you every single time. I am hybrid 1h/shield and even on foot I can own lancers by jumping sideways and swinging. They can't adjust the spear after release and they cant hit anything besides what is directly in front of them. I really really really don't understand this one. This also allows throwers to never miss and kill your horse in 1 shot because you have to run straight at them, you cant swing sideways and be turning.

Was the turn speed not enough?

Miley was INTENTIONALLY running infront of my horse to get me kicked. She was running her mouth in in the chat logs before I got 5/5 kicked(first time EVER), please go look at the logs. She calls me a troll for ban posting on the forums, and here she is posting a ban thread. Trolled in game AND on the forums, Miley you are awesome and not a contradicting piece of shit. Congratulations, you have now hit rock bottom.

So 3 pics of me TWing on different maps when Im cav is grounds for a 24hr ban? One of the pics I didn't even hurt her because I had to start slowly moving when she was anywhere infront of me. Different...maps... She was TRYING to run infront of my horse. Why was this not handled on the server? Probably because they saw nothing worthy of punishment. Not even a warning was issued. No admin was on over the span of 3 full maps? I guess I need to start running fraps 100% of the time if the admins are going to be like this.

Standing behind a rock while some archers are camping in a nest and my 2 teamates decide it would be funny to pummel me to death. Note the "lol" in the active chat log. Don't find this funny what so ever.

Why the hell does M report only work every few seconds? I was jamming on the damn button. Second, I asked in admin chat if they are going to do anything after I died. Dach replies "Crazyi, that is valid tactics". What the fuck does that even mean???

Don't lock the thread and say case closed when you re-arrange what happens.

There was nothing being said on the server, as you clearly saw NOTHING in the logs. No trash talking, no TWing, no TKing. So we kicked a Chaos guy grand total between 2 people 5x. Where is my malicious(vicious, wanton, or mischievous in motivation or purpose)  intent comming from at this point and time? I really want you to explain yourself how you can see into my mind and tell me what my intent was. I see kicking going on all the time in game, so I want you to define kickspamming as well. You are so wrong it isn't even funny, and I'm not dropping this. Im sorry dealing with people who assume information is baffling. Especially when it is about my psychological state of mind and intent to harm some one. You even went as far to state I get enjoyment out of getting people banned. WOW. Please, present your case and how you know me so well.

I'm stilled banned on Community 1 from something that happened on 3-3-12(http://forum.c-rpg.net/index.php/topic,27178.0.html). I promise to not to go vigilante and ask for admin help if things go screwy. I have joined KUTT and dropped the hatred for Badplayer. I would like to point out something I feel is major favortism though(http://forum.c-rpg.net/index.php/topic,28448.0.html). I was 1/5 and get perma banned 19 days and counting by the same admin.

Suggestions Corner / Cloth Over Armor or Imprint

Is it possible to add another slot of gear for cloth over armor? Doublets, surcoats, and things like that? If not, would it be possible to allow imprinting banners on the chest plate? I think it would be pretty cool if all armor could represent your guild instead of just a few select pieces. Also people could dye there colors how they see fit if not in a guild. It would else help in strat for who is who.

Strategus General Discussion / Strat Classes - Idea to Improve Strat

So I've been thinking on how you can limit the ability of the larger clans without just gimping the game totally.

You have "classes" within the factions. You can allow any one person to as play many roles as the faction leader sees fit(ie, Crazyi The Merchant, Crazyi the Crafter, Crazyi the Scout etc etc). The smaller clans are going to have to put in more time on the strat map, BUT they can achieve what a larger organization can. The larger clans will can have 1 role per person, and thus have to focus less on the map part but needing more organization. Possibly even link the size of the organization to how many "classes" each person may play. Large ones can only have 1 role per person, smaller can play each per person.

Merchant - 1-5 per faction(or whatever you see fit). These guys control buying, selling, and all aspects of trade. There would be a raw resource mini game that connects to the crafters, where the merchants need to keep the things in stock demanded by the crafters. Need iron for weapons, wood for bows and arrows, wool for cloth, etc. How that is achieved I will leave to developers. My suggestion is to segment the map, make each area with a larger city or castle have X villages(X = total amount of the types of resources), each village you purchase one type of raw material from. The gold the merchants have to spend is a flat rate for each faction. This flat rate represents a sort of upkeep cost, larger clans have more members contributing but have to spend more on upkeep. Smaller clans have less they have to blow their money on, but have fewer members contributing.

Crafter - Unlimited BUT your resources for crafting are limited based on what the merchants can purchase, putting cap on what can be produced each day/week and still allowing a wide range of goods to be produced. Who crafts what, and what resources are needed will require communication between the faction. Smaller groups will have an easier time organizing, and the larger ones to maintain correct functionality are going to have to stay very focused(thus making it slightly harder to maintain and outfit a large organization, as it should be).

Scout - Have unlimited(or a limit if needed) - This is plain and simple, a scouting unit. It is fast, mobile unit that may only be caught in combat if it stops. Larger organizations can have more scouts due to their size, thus giving them a slight advantage in this category. They can plot their path much better being able to scout more. A small organization doesn't need to be moving all over the map anyways, they are going to have to focus their efforts in a smaller area. They may also be considered "raiders" and are allowed to pillage unguarded merchants, but can only take a small portion of what the merchant is carrying. That way you can mess with unprotected trade lines, but it wont totally destroy ones economy. More or less a penalty for not having a general attached with the merchant.
 
Generals - Have unlimited(or a cap if needed) - These are the recruiters and hold the soldier bodies of the armies. They need to be assigned to protecting territory, guarding merchants when they are traveling, and to recruit troops. They obviously also lay siege and engage in battles. You should be able to recruit anywhere. As one travels with a merchant, in each village they roll a dice at recruiting and see how many they get. You can also just set this at a cap per week for each faction, to make sure they do not get far more troops than a smaller clan can. In reality you can only recruit so many soldiers before the population would go to crap in an area and not be sustainable, so I feel the cap is needed. Another way to limit it, is have the size of the strat army effect the gold available to spend on resources. So you can have a small army and pump out resources, and once you have the supplies needed for war begin to ramp up recruitment. It would require a balance between output and solider capacity. You could "relieve" soldiers at any point and time, allowing you to ramp up production of goods. However if attacked in this "production" period you would be in a bad position, and thus needing the ability of your scouts that much more.

**added** Like others have suggested, there needs to be an NA and an EU rating when signing up for battles. When you sign up for an NA fight, the leadership gets to give you +1 or -1. Same for signing up on EU. You go negative and you are going to have a hard time joining future fights, so it is in your best interest to show up, finish, and not be a troll.

cRPG Technical problems / Gear not showing in game

I have a +2 Bec, and if I save it to my default loadout, then I can select it in game whenever I want. If I take it off my default loadout, it wont appear in game to select. Any ideas? Auto repair is on, plenty of money. Only item that does it.

Suggestions Corner / Strat NPC's

Have you guys played around with adding NPC's to strat battles(last i played there were none, bu that was a year ago)? There are many ways I am thinking you could try it. The most obvious would be to have a general for each team, and they can command small-large squad of NPCs to add another element to the battle. This would allow players to use the NPC as fodder or even tactically as their own little force. If you kill the general, they lose the ability to command the NPCs. I would have to suggest melee troops only, we have all experienced Rhodok sharpshooters headshots, no fun. Possibly even give the general a calvary squad, to have an actual calv unit causing havoc.

Another way is you have x amount of troops to divide up how ever you see fit. You could assign 2 per player, or 10 per person you fully trust, or whatever. Even having 1 NPC per player would give another layer of combat. Some people would simply use them as fodder and some people could try to use them as an effective duo. People could coordinate their NPC attacks. I think it would add a level of strategy.
