Another confirmation. Happens frequently, esp. with robe-type cloth wearing targets, and recently I spent like 10 arrows on an afk at medium distance, until I finally hit him - it was just like only his spine was hittable and the rest hot air (he was wearing medium strange armor, if I recall it right)
And indeed many headshots turn into shoulder shots, but some shots to the body, esp. from behind, magically turn into headshots as well...
everything said relates to close/medium range shots where I can see for sure where my arrows hit. I do not care where long range "lucky" shots hit, but at close range it would be nice if arrows actually went where I shoot at - very disappointing if you try to decorate a tincan's arse with feathers and instead he drops dead with a headshot... lol
oh, and speaking of hitboxes: something with the shooting position of the big bows is weird - on walls it is often impossible to shoot down without hopping on the wall because my arrows get stuck in the forcefield above the wall, while the guys with the tiny bows seemingly can bend over and shoot down without problems. so somehow the game assumes that the arrow position with a longbow is lower or what? makes no sense to me.
P.S.: to keep it fair, I have also seen the opposite thing happen - where my arrow clearly missed the guy and even was shown sticking in the wall besides him for a split second, then suddenly the guy drops dead because the weird hitbox calculations changed their mind... so this is not a complaint about "I want more hits", but just about "make the arrows hit, where they hit".
