1. Peltastos armor + helmet
This Eastern Roman skirmisher is wearing padded jacket over the leather jacket. Padding is decorated with rivets.

2. Skutatos Armor + helmet
This Eastern Roman spearman is wearing mail hauberk over the leather jacket. He also wares splinted handguards. Note the chest belt distinctive for Eastern Roman and Serbian equipment, this belt is used to properly arrange the weight distribution of the armor.

3. Byzantine Palace Guard + Varangian helmet
This warrior is wearing padded coat, mail hauberk and blue robes decorated with monarchical insignias. His helmet is English Varangian helmet, combining in itself byzantine style and english origins of the warrior. Palace guard is consisted of Varangians of different origin (depending of the period).
This war helmet is decorated in Eastern Roman style while the general shape is typical war/kettle helmet. This helmet is fastened with leather belt. Aventail is closed for better face protection of the wearer.

4. Mongolian (Golden Horde ) Armor + Helmet
This Mongolian warrior is wearing lamellar cuirass, bazubands, silk robes for better arrows prottection and tall mongolian helmet. Note the interesting belt design. Bazubands are decorated with brass embosing.
This segmented tall helmet has leather neck protection and earpieces decorated with embosing. Helmet also have horse tail attached to it.

5. Archons Armor
This Eastern Roman officer/official is wearing painted lamellar armor, expensive red robe, blue cape with decorated trimming held in place with golden buckle decorated with jewels. It has padding under the cuirass. It's belt is expensively decorated too. His helmet has brass embosing depicting ortodox saint. Metal is protected from weathering with red paint.

6. Kataphractoi Armor
This Klibanophoroi warrior is of higher military status then regular Klibanophoroi warrior. He is wearing padding, mail hauberk, leather jacket, lamellar cuirass, shoulderpads, splinted handguards and distinctive plate that is showing his status. His expensive cape is held with decorated golden fibula.

7. Pronoia Heavy Cavalry armor + Helmet
This Eastern Roman warrior is wearing mail hauberk above lamellar armor, silk robe and padding. His helmet is of distinctive shape providing extra protection for his neck with his longer back side. Note the ridge of the helmet that is used to further protect the construction of helmet and aditionaly increase the protection of the wearer. This cavalryman is granted a fief for his military service called pronoia.

8. Clibanarios Armor + Helmet
This Clibanarii or Klibanophoroi is Eastern Roman heavy cavalryman. He is wearing padding, mail hauberk, lamellar armor and padded coat. He also uses the distinctive chest belt which is decorated with medalions showing he is a person of military achievements.

9. Varangopoulos (late period guard) armor + Bascinet Helmet with gorgette (neckguard)
This heavy Eastern Roman Varangian warrior of the period when last varangians existed, is wearing distinctive mixture of Europian and Eastern Roman style armor. Under typical europian hands, legs, kness, elbow protection and not typical non-covered brigandine he is wearing mail hauberk and leather jacket. He is also wearing expensive red robes. His head is protected with Bascinet with hinged bevor of Eastern Roman and Serbian style. Bascinets itself were usualy bought from German or Italian manufacturers. This gorgets are result of the need for better protection against arrows which is the product of increased use of archery in the regions due to Ottoman attacks.
