Uhm, am i supposed to replace the existing line with compatible_module_version = 1223 or just add it to the .ini?

I've just got this on my module.ini:

module_name = cRPG
module_version = 1223
compatible_module_version = 1223

num_hints = 12

but it still doesn't work. The game crashes as soon as I finish the loading procces.

NVM: I don't know why, it works fine now lol

You have to save the file, THEN fully restart the game. At the end it always works!

it unlocked itself.. Still it's evil! IT'S HERECY!

I'm a steam user aswell and it works for me.
Change the line that i made bold (black) into:

compatible_module_version = 1223

And it will work  8-)
