Ehm, the "level 30 horse archer with a kd of 20:3" was actually just very god damn good, assuming you're referring to romai.

It was very hard to get the stats required for HA, though, I will admit it is op if you do it right
(You know you play too much cRPG when...) you are walking down the street and keep looking behind you to check for cavalry

Many players who cry "OP" seem to forget two things: (1) some builds have a natural advantage over other builds and (2) not everything is always balanced in a game with level-based character development.  Of course a long polearm can easily destroy a charging horseman, and a 2h can beat an equal opponent with a smaller weapon, but it's also quite straightforward to say that the more esoteric builds can appear OP simply because they are such an unfamiliar foe.  HA are a good example of this because of their demanding stat requirements and the generally great skill required of those who use this build.  What separates a HA from a regular archer?  They can charge infantry, but so can other horses.  They're also faster, sure, but so are many lightly armoured archers.  These are simply two advantages which become terrifying when used properly but are otherwise fragile when use in the wrong context; a HA that charges into spears will fall to pieces against a moderately skilled opponent, just as a HA will die when trying to engage a  competent 2h in hand-to-hand combat.  There's no foul in playing to your strengths and exploiting inexperience.

The other oft forgotten feature of cRPG is that characters develop positively.  Moving from a light bow to a stronger bow doesn't mean that both bows must be somehow equal "in their proper contexts."  It's reasonable to say that some gear is objectively superior to other gear by most relevant standards.  I'm comfortable with the idea that club-wielding peasant, no matter who controls them, will never take down a conscious Lady Gaga on her Apocalypse Horse.  Skilled players worked to get what they have and to disagree with an this incentive-based system is to reject cRPG altogether.

Title - enough said.

Reasons:
- More balance.
- Broken stab animation added more balance against blunt weapons and knockdowns.
- Blunt is currently OP (e.g. barmace and crushthroughs), as well as throwing (equipping jarids or others to multiple slots, with high Power Throw.)
- Upkeep causes unbalance, and supports ninja-builds.

EDIT: Preferably without a rollback. ( I know this sounds like I leeched off the new multipliers, but I am still a lower level than I was, before I was a level 28 black plated polearmer, which I now respeced into transitional because its not as noob. On my other character, I was a lvl 25 archer, and respeced into a ninja as to avoid upkeep.)

Cheers.

If you need a lolstab to counter a blunt user, you just need better footwork. As for upkeep, I played a katana-wielding gambeson before the patch. These days, I don armour and a longer weapon. If anything, this system encourages more armour.

Correct.
Romai is a very good player, that's why he was always getting a good k/d ratio.

Stop whine against blunt crushthrough. A full PS build is effective at contact but blunt wp are not so long (except long maul but so slow ...) and unbalanced. In addition stat cost don't let you invest points in ath or a ton of wpfif you want reach a decent PS. So it's balanced build imho. Yeah it's a viable alternative to agi spammer with spamberge or halleberd. That's what make you rage against Str build.

In addition the game is funnier with different builds. And MorningStar don't crushthrough anymore. A new useless weapon.

Do we have something similar to the NA fatties stereotype for Aussies? We should.

Ishar, your avatar makes you look like a fairy.  That my sterotype for Euros.
