Last gen. 2.4 K/D as an archer. Higher K/D this time round as a level 27 so I am hoping for a higher overall K/D for level 30 this gen.

It only implies your decision making.

I can go cav and pick off peasants exclusively every round and get 4-1 as cav. Every time. Won't do anything for my team though. A vulture over the field of battle.
Or I could go 1-1 and kill the best player each round.

You are either making good decisions for your team by taking out good players, or you are suiciding too often as cav.

You sound like someone who appreciates support roles, I mainly carefully bump the enemies, use shield to cover the 2H/pole teammates, and lure enemy fires on myself to give the others some flanking opportunities.

Of course, not all the time.. I sometimes (very few, I learn from my lessons) just charge off to fight against the other lancers and die miserably in the very beginning of the rounds :|
