Cinematic looks amazing, gameplay YELLS at me that the production was rushed, there's a lot of fine-tuning to be done, everything yet lacks details, still hasn't that eerie and melancholic feel of Diablo 1 and 2. Let's hope they put more work into the visuals. That druid at 0:25 looks like straight outta some indie game

Americans lead the project that's fo sho but 70-80% of any modern big-budget game is outsourced so yes, Asians do all the heavy lifting. Times, when group of long-haired weirdos made games in their moms basement, are over.

I still like what I am seeing. Way better than D3.

DII was absolutely amazing and is considered the best so far for good reasons, I heavily recommend to at least try it
DIII may have had a shitty story and too colorful graphic, but the gameplay was superb

I played DI for the first time this year and I am SO GLAD that I didn't choose the warrior

So, just play it now. It has aged just fine and works without a hitch on modern systems. Don't let this shameful stain persist!

Refreshing to hear, Diablo was always my favorite. I even played a mod for DII back then, which tried to capture the essence of 1, "back to hellfire" it was called. Great times! Also imo DI & DII are hard to compare. DI has huge nostalgia bonus for me and the music and atmosphere when you where carefully exploring the dungeons are unmatched. DII was great, too, obviously the mechanics where a completely different league, but I always kinda missed the simplicity and again the atmosphere of I.

that reminds me I recently stumbled upon this video by developer David Brevek, where among other things he tells the story of how Diablo 1 became not turn based super late in the development xD:
