I'm loving it so far. In a lot of parts/mechanics better than Dark Souls. While it has it's similarities, the combat plays quite differently, is definitely more complex and it took me a while to adapt. Quite difficult in it's own way. Very visually satisfying and fun to play. That the story isn't told through item descriptions like in DS series is an added bonus.

Does it play alright with mouse and keyboard?

Apparently it does. Using a controller this time myself, though.

This game is simply unplayable. It is not exactly hard, just require a lot of skill form player. Such design are very poor, and lame.

Cant stand having to wade through trash mobs over and over if you die before reach checkpoints.

Lol wut, this game is the most generous with respawns/checkpoints and bypassing mobs out of all Soulsborne games. Most of the boss fights have a respawn right in front of it.

I am bad and uncoordinated why I never finished any souls game. Its just that very 1st named guy after you leave the kid keeps kicking my but so I have to go through the other trash mobs before him over and over so I start losing focus and quit. I am only trying to play this because of the Tenchu similarities not because its a souls like game. I am bad at video games.
Oh and xant .... ... .

Just started and the targeting system is making me want to delete the game from my hard drive when fighting more than 1-2 people.
