This is the final nail in the coffin for this franchise... The focus on basebuilding in Fallout 4 and the dumbing down of rpg elements was the first step. Now we get some shitty base building survival mmo marketed at 14 year old autists. Ugh...

For those who haven't seen it yet :

It's open world, improvised weapons and base building centered
Will feature a scavenger from surface as main character, hence why vault seems empty other than main character in trailer.
Co-op, but not MMO or Rust-like.
Bethesda are in panic mode oat these rumors and want to release further info to cut them off.
Expect a leak from a more reputable source soon.
It's based along the interstate in northern virginia.
    It's still a RPG.
    Upgraded FO4 Creation Engine.
    Will come with phone app.
IT IS NOT A RUST LIKE. Internal beth. comms seem to be worried this will lead the hype in the wrong direction.
    Voiced protag is back.
6 factions. 3 of which are "notables" that we have seen in previous games.
Harold will make appearance (retcon), as will young first Maxson.
    Numerous retcons
Laying groundwork for Fallout 5 which is in the works.
THIS IS WHAT THE BUILD SYSTEM IN FO4 WAS A TEST FOR.
No external mods outside of CC. They're going to try and cut that off at the pass and sell it as a security thing citing stolen content and adult mods.
Believe it or don't, mark my words. Will be deleting account shortly.

These were the 4chan leaks.

people caring about a Fallout game that isn't 1 or 2... smh

Honestly havent played them, so dont know to miss them. Jumping into Fallout 3 and NV without any sort of knowledge of the series, was very enjoyable, atleast to me, asfar as I remember.

At least NV had lots of references to the first two games :D I found 3 and 4 to be pretty bland, though. 1 & 2 had such great dialogue, music and atmosphere, fun turn based combat etc. really not even comparable to the bethesda games.

No external mods? does that mean the majority of user made mods? like the only reason worth buying a Bethesda game for nowadays? lol

Sometimes leaks are false. It'd be suicide for them to basically remove mods, it'd spark a massive shitstorm and pretty much kill both their reputation and their Fallout Franchise; so I'd rate this as unlikely to happen.

I think what they mean by internal is the whole mod thing where they charge you to download mods. So you can still make mods, but you have to sign to that bullshit and use their system, where mods will be filtered. Hopefully they can make it so that if the modder doesn't want to charge for it then it's free and all we'll really miss out on are the nude mods. I wouldn't be suprised, if someone cracked whatever mod DMR there will be for it, though.
This is about being straight out retarded. Children see in slow motion like owls.

Perhaps you're right, but from my experience with their creation club, it was pretty bad compared to nexus. Plus they might make it impossible to earn achievements while your game is modded as they did with updated versions of Skyrim and Fallout 4. The more I think of that game, the less optimistic I get; since if I recall correctly, they didn't use Obsidian for Fallout 4, and they probably won't ask for their help either for Fallout 76. Bad design kind of forces people to use mods to fix the flaws of the game, and if they're hard to reach, or even worse, behind a paywall, it'll be a shitshow.

Yeah, I hope the leak means something else or is just false, the freedom of modding is the only reason I've played Bethesda's Fallout and mainly Elder Scrolls titles so much, I don't want to see mods being filtered out for not meeting specific criteria and even worse, being forced to pay for them. Guess we will find out lol.

I don't like the "building" stuff in that speech. That worries me a lot.

EDIT : Online play is mandatory. It's starting to sound quite bad, since it means probably no mods at all, unless it works like in factorio, where you can invite people with the same set of files. At worst, it''s a MMO, and I lose my shit.

EDIT 2 : everyone in-game is a real person. Well, one less franchise to worry about, at least until they get their shit together and release a single player title.

This is the definition of betrayal.
