like this one? they moved out lol
never put up much of a defense against theft or any sort of aggression under any circumstances; don't even give folk of the past much leeway for "different times"
but gotta say, the Trail of Tears occurred quite some time after European settlers arrived. of course a simplistic view of things looking at the little social media snippet, that the natives simply "went elsewhere" or similar, but not unfactual to say that much of the initially-settled land in North America was bought or otherwise acquired under contract. important to remember language barrier, complete cultural difference involving property rights, land ownership, and all the rest of that.
sorry my autism was picqued because I have little doubt that the folk sharing this sort of a thing know very little about the Trail of Tears, itself a contemptable example of forced relocation at bayonet and sword point resulting in massive loss of life, perpetrated against the only native folk to develop a written language of their own and quite un-warlike. the Cherokee and others were "re-located" ala Soviet methods to shithouse Oklahoma just because other folk discovered what they felt was an extraordinary amount of gold in the north GA foothills
even more bitterly, there didn't even turn out to be much worthwhile gold up there either
t. lives 15 minutes from the beginning of the Trail of Tears (also please abolish the department of education thx)
