Growls definitely aren't toneless though, they still very much need to be in key, and there's a huge amount of technique and different styles. I prefer the classic death metal style over the modern deathcore, but both can be great when done well

Good shit Kadeth!

If I'm feeling mellow or getting mellow I'll give these people a listen. Good background music for all kinds of debauchery. Kind of psychedelic metal in the vein of Black Sabbath. Just a classic sound imo.

Nice my dude. I saw Wintersun live a couple weeks ago, they were extremely good! I hope they eventually release Time II, some of the teasers from that album sound amazing.

Blind Guardian is my favorite band alongside Motörhead. I'm a huge fan of Korpiklaani as well. I'll give Moonspell a try.

I'm possibly going to see Ensiferum and EX DEO (kataklysm) live in april. Ive met and heard kataklysm before but havent heard of their new thing. Apparently EX DEO is a roman themed metal band now, which has some good songs.
