Moonlight(a movie) won(the Oscars) because of PC due to last years "muh black nominees" from last year and is in line with this one black dude in the trailer, and isn't Tolkiens world based mostly on Norse / Finnish and Icelandic folkelore? Would be no nigs there.
Middle Earth is based on everything mythical, Norse, Greek, Egyptian, Mesopotamian, goddamn Bible. Tolkien was a scholar and translator, he borrowed ideas from any source he could find. Although Beowulf was his biggest inspiration.
It's kinda dull having fantasy world without colored people. Imagine Diablo II without Paladin, without Lut Gholein and Kurast. It would be worse experience, quite a bit.
Diversity is good, political agenda abusing diversity is not.
One of the bigger problems with Skyrim is lack of diversity, especially compared with melting pot that is isle of Vvardenfell. Not just that. Nords in Morrowind, are mysterious and intriguing. There's very few of them but you kinda want to know more. In Skyrim they delivered more, in the worst possible way. Stereotypical viking society which has roots on cinema more than actual sources. Nords just don't feel real in Skyrim. When you want to depict northern people who aren't rulers of their destiny, it is better to go Wildlings route from ASoIaF than developed, well off society where winter doesn't to be of much concern like in Skyrim. The way Nords dealt with each other, political struggles reminds me more of Breton. They are so timid, good natured, gullible, like they modeled them based on Scandinavians of today
