Bryggan I'm pretty sure you are the only person that actually try hards and you are still bottom of the list every map. Not to mention the fact that you come online and start insulting Kolee because she is a woman you plays video games and sit afk in spawn for the first minute and a half of every round attempting trash talk.
Hohoho-holy shit. Thanks for sticking up for me, bro. You are a true cRPG white knight.! (Seriously though, kudos and I love you, man!)
As far as Bryggan's concerns, let's just say that I don't agree with you. What's truly more detrimental to new players? Players that are tryhards ALL the time. Do you seriously think that new people that aren't necessarily familiar with blocking, chambering, etc. want to be killed every single round in one or two hits? Will the players keep coming back to play when tryhards bash other not-so-good players with shittalk? What chance do new players have when it comes to tryhards that need to be top of the team every round and then on top of that, be a complete egotistical asshole on top of it? This is the primary reason why new players don't stick around - you don't want to or care to melee new players. And you don't give them the chance to even beat you.
On the other hand, I play cRPG for fun. I've
always stated that. I couldn't care less about multis. So yes, I admit that it hinders my team's chance to win sometimes. But on the other hand, I don't shittalk new players. I don't make them feel bad for not being able to kill me. In fact, I'm perfectly fine with getting killed in my pathetic lederhosen. And yes, I do avoid combat against new players and players that may not be so good at blocking because if they get killed every single round, they're just going to leave. I truly try to be nice to everyone in cRPG that isn't a straight up jerk to me or my small group of cRPG friends. Usually, any person that rolls with me in cRPG is a fun person that doesn't take the game or themselves too seriously.
If you're legitimately worried about old people coming back or new players to the mod, stop being a tryhard all the time. Get to know the other players, build some rapport and maybe dick around a little bit before rage-quitting because you lost your x2.
