Maybe if Coronoa virus gets rid of 50 percent or more of the world population we can do without a pope and religion.

Loved it, the visuals and music were awesome. And in response to that Rich Evans video Gravoth posted, Ryan Gosling fit the character perfect
(click to show/hide)
Will definately be watching again.

Watch this before watching the movie, 3 back story shorts.

I've been waiting for this movie since the first rumours got out. Guess what; the distributor Warner bros decided it would be a good idea to censor the movie to attract more people in Turkey. It seems, any scene with nudity is edited. Sometimes don't you wish the world to burn?
Oh and its Gnjusoğlu Saracoğlu, you illiterate goat-shagging baklava-eater.

I liked this movie. It wasnt amazing, but it was passable, it felt genuine and not like a studio popcorn movie.

However, watching the first blade runner just a week before, i really like that one. The aesthetic and soundtrack was incredibly good, and the new one completely missed the target on that feel. Intentionally i assume, but it was a pity. I like the neon lights, synth music aesthetic. 2049 had a very bassy BWaaaam soundtrack, didnt put me into that feel like the first one did.
Been listening to the old soundtrack at work a lot, very very good stuff.

Visuals are great, I could watch people just walk around LA 2049, loved that they expanded that world and we got to see more of it (no gridlock tho? it's LA ffs).

That said the movie is 2.5 hrs long and I fell asleep  in the theater for the last 15 mins. Could  have been comfy 2 hrs and all good, but noooo we must have super slow boring sex scene that lasts more than the credentials and is more boring, one would think people get quicker in  the future, not in Blade Runner universe.

Now my beef with this one is again that Deckerd story. First film and it's many recuts were there to ask a question about individuality, AI etc etc,  I'm even fine with them playing around the fact is Deckerd a human or not, but they clearly set this up for more sequels, I'm gonna be immensely pissed if they gonna whore that idea to the very end and then in some shitty pretencious end scene crap on the whole franchise (Matrix anyone?) including the first movie.
And now he can't play because of "common sense" and he doesn't understand how this common sense works

Original Blade Runner is one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Overrated in the same way as "modern art" or absurdist art like Picasso's shit are. People only like it because it shows how cultured you are and because it's hip.

I can understand why people don't like it, but personally I just do like it, not for any special hip reason, nor do I think it's art, I just really like the movie. Great setting, great atmosphere, brilliant scenes and sets, for a film made in 1982 it really stands up well even nowadays. It does have some of that 80s cheese but I think that's actually something I do like.
