na I think hes talking about reg. throwing lances. the europ./saracen ones arent really any prob imo.

stones would be totally fine if they wouldnt stun.

If you mean you dont like some maps, there is always somebody out there who doesnt like this or that map.
Its very hard to appreciate which maps are liked by a majority, and the last man to try to gauge this is Kratos as Uther said. Go help him!

Stones were a funny meme at first and I was a stone thrower once, but after a while they get annoying as shit. I wouldn't go as far as removing them, but a big nerf to accuracy, missile speed and range should be fine. Make them the kind of weapon that only works if you're dropping them on people's heads from above.

As for throwing lances (I assume it's about the European and Saracen ones), there's a major issue that the devs overlooked(?). That issue is no requirements at all. I can understand wanting to have a 0 PT, non-sheathable weapon for everyone to use, so you can throw it before engaging in melee. But if you're running a 3 str, 200+ pole wpf spamwhore troll build, your best weapon is no longer the shortened spear, but the throwing lance. As a profesional cRPG trollist, I can confirm that the throwing lance is too easy to abuse as a melee weapon. Leave it at 0 PT req as it currently is, but add at least 12 str req to it.

Also add str and/or agi requirements to shields and other items. You can be the weakest wimp in game, but easily hold the heaviest shield like it's made of paper, because shield skill is based on agi. Same goes for typical agi weapons like katanas and some other swords. You can be the clumsiest caveman in town, but still swing the swords like a proper gaylord, only slower.


it s impossible to give str difficulty to throwings. Only through power throw. Anyway this lances are not annoying only regular throwing lances wich you can have 6!! and its fucking op in melee.

Here I have an idea.

Any weapon that doesn't have a sheath in-game, can't be sheathed. Weapons that can't be sheathed are 0 slot. Same goes for shields, no strap on back - 0 slots.

Heavy axes have crushthrough shields(if you crushthrough it reduces damage right?) So, they have only 20% base damage after shield crushthrough.

Blocking couched lances with shields knocks you down, minimal shield damage. Blocking couched lance with a weapon disarms you and you have to pick up your weapon from the ground.(you can steal this script from Vikingr, it's not like anyone plays it anymore.)

Heavy polearms also have crushthrough shields like axes, but they only stun after crushthrough and do reduced damage to the shield.

If you chamber a dagger, there is a chance you'll disarm your opponent.

All throwing weapons that don't have a bag and are relatively heavy like throwing axes, only have 1 ammo and are 0 slot. Throwing lances can't be sheathed. Overall the damage of throwing weapons without a sheath is buffed and missile speed reduced.

Bows:

- 35 arrows in one quiver
- all quivers are 1 slot, 50% nerf in missile speed on short bows
- 30% on long bows
- all bows are 1 slot, but weight is increased on longer bows
- accuracy is buffed
- archers can only retrieve arrows from dead bodies (thing this was a feature for a time, dunno why it got removed)

Xbows:

- 20 bolts
- bag of bolts and steel bolts is 0 slot
- accuracy reduced alot
- damage reduced slightly
- missile speed increased alot
- much heavier than bows
- low strength requirements compared to bows
- need power draw (starting at 1 with hunting xbow, and ending with arbalest at 5) power draw difficulty doesn't correlate with strength difficulty, you need +2 str, so if an xbow is 3 powerdraw = 9 strength, you'll need 11 str to equip it


Shields:

- buffed speed
- equiping a shield reduces your weapon proficiency, with the exception of bucklers
- arrows do almost no damage to high-tier shields, bolts do
- stepping on a dropped shield has a chance of knoch down and death on impact
- jk



2h and poles:

- the speed of most 2h is buffed, but the damage is nerfed, this goes for all 2h with a thin blade relative to their length
- flamberge is an exception, it gets buffed both in terms of speed and damge, but can only block down/stabs
- heavy greatsword cannot be crushed through (spikes)
- all polearms get 4 directions (exception: pikes, long spears, bamboo spears etc), but have nerfed speed in this mode
- secondary mode on 2handers doesn't nerf slash dmg, buffs stab and nerfs speed

Cav:

- destrier gets more health
- armoured horses get more armour
- armoured horses get faster
- armoured hourses get their turn speed nerfed
- courser gets more speed and more turn speed, no armour and lower hit points though
- black horse gets more hp
- plated charger is as fast as a donkey and has 55 charge and 110 armor
- steppe horse, sumpter horse and donkeys get a bonus, for speed and turn speed, in rainy weather

Helmets:

- helmets like great helms and all high tier helmets get armur buff and weight and difficulty increase(with the exception of the white sallets - the old ones)

Might also consider adding something like "Happy Hours", double/triple/quadruple/... xp and gold, works very very well in Mercs-mod.
We had double rewards several times already, lasted for months, was gut.

There is some good suggestions here.

Also, If its possible, leave only one double server - siege/battle, with improved new map rotation.

Basically new/old good maps on one server in rotation. For example - 3 battle - 3 siege maps ... etc.

If you remove stones please increase ammo count of daggers, I only use stones because you get more of them to throw, would much rather use daggers.
And where is the so called heirloom exchange I see no option to do so every 3 days let alone 2?

Thrower is the last fun class to counter +200 wpf spammers with a decent build at level 35.

Annoying ? sure, but blame this mod not the throwers.
