he played it at the 2017 gamescom booth, which I did aswell this year
the thing is that right beside of it there was a HUGE XBox X stage, which means that your ears got blasted with some "trendy" trash pop music (they brought up some people onto the stage to let them "dance" (in other words, humiliate themself in public) for some goodies or something). Even with the headsets you did NOT hear the ingame music or any kind of audio feedback which was kind of distracting, the flashy lights of that stage didn't help aswell. Ofc that journalist's performance is utter shit, but I think it's more of a series of circumstances which lead to this
- he probs was overly tired
- not his genre or barely played jump'n'runs
- distracting environment as told
- clearly not his day in general
he didn't even defend it or anything, he admitted that he sucks at that game, so give him run
