yeah but (I got nostalgic and have been reading about both) new dawn is still more interesting to me.
rise of agon is basically just re-releasing the 2009 game pretty much as it was, bunny hopping and all. which appeals to small niche of fanboys, but the developers are clearly naive as they are working on new player experience, as if there will be any bloody new players.
whereas new dawn are actually trying to turn it into something different, the game darkfall should have been. they'll probably fail also - but still makes it potentially interesting. local banking, racial wars, skill caps etc.

Actually thats not true. They do plan on fine tuning existing systems and adding content in the future. For example not making it such a grind and condensing useless skills into one and removing/revamping passive skills like Rigor.
As for the pricing - its as low as 20$ (higher tiers available) -

loginlike I said in other thread darkfall was a pretty bad game at the core, it was simply bags of fun because there was like 50k players on the same server killing and robbing the shit out of each other.
these reboots cannot recreate that, they bought licence for a extremely flawed and outdated game that isn't as good as people think they remember it being. anyway here is their video:
I agree the game is outdated but the combat is still nothing like anything else. I think you underestimate how many people will come back if this launches successfully. You have to remember why the playerbase on Darkfall was so low, and a large reason for that was the incompetence of AV. Darkfall had a HUGE playerbase at launch and after, but AV dropped the ball on just about everything.
Regardless, I hope it goes well. I'm excited and looking forward to it, perhaps I'm being a bit too optimistic
