Finally. Thank god to whoever finally turned round and said no more bullshit. I had lost faith in the admin team until this happened, another cheater gone from the game! Praise the lord.

100% well deserved justice.

Goodbye Pandor, enjoy your trip to Prison Island!

I think base textures should be forced upon launch of the game, best solution to texture cheating as there are no real solutions or rules set against it currently anyways. The ban should definitely not be a ingame permanent ban imho, but a forum mute and a temp game ban.

I really despise the use of green lazerbeams or other shit addons that gives an edge to a player, but I have to ask, in all honesty, is this ban really fair?

Dont get me wrong, I am glad if bans would happen to all cheaters, but if this isthe first head thats gonna roll - will there be others?

First of many, I hope Grandmom. I really hope so. Anyone who alters their client to give themselves an advantage deserves to be banned.

However, this situation is completely different, Pandor openly bragged like a complete moron that he WAS using cheats, giving physical evidence.
It's the same as walking into a police station and saying "I killed this girl" whilst holding her severed head with a knife in your hand. He gave himself up and got fucked because of it, sadly I doubt everyone is as stupid as him, so it's unlikely we'll be seeing stuff like this again.

I couldnt agree more Yeldur, I was writing in that videothread aswell.

He deserves to be banned, as do everyone else using shit like this imo, but only if it is considered a bannable offence in the first place, which it might be I am not sure. If it is, then by all means ban him, but if it hasnt been a bannable offence before it should imo be officially stated that it is bannable from now on and then start with the banning of people that uses it.

Not sure why I care though....I just want it to be...... handled correctly?

Pandor is a bit of a special case - he was very open about his retarded actions and shared the cheat, inviting other people to use it. Doesn't need any other rule than "common sense" to handle that, but we may specify this soon to avoid missunderstandings)

Uther sums it up quite well, it comes down to the first and only necessary rule; common sense.

Me and chase were discussing this, he didnt care much about green arrows, he doesnt think it warrants a ban either. I dont think the rules state it clearly enough either that using texture packs is cheating, or what specifies them as cheats, and which arent etc.

Unban i say.

Ive mentioned it a lot, but ill say it here again, if textures like these are needed, then they are fixes forced by players own hand when the game is has been ruined in some area. Ive used perma daytime before (not since a year), so now i just quit instead when night time hits. Lezard does the same and chase also despises night and says its unplayable. Yet nothing changes, and theres been threads about this. If arrows are so hard to track that they need green arrow textures, then somethings wrong. Thats atleast my opinion. Now, not a lot of things get changed in the mod anymore unfortunately, although we do get a lot of new items constantly. So people take matter into their own hands, and no rules directly state its wrong.

Since common sense is a rule (didnt know that)I am fine with the decision and I support it 100% - objection withdrawn

Kind of late to this thread; but there should be no reason to explain why you are globally banned. If you lack common sense enough to see why then there is no point wasting my time trying to explain what you've done to warrant this type of ban. Flaunting cheating and giving access to cheat material should not be tolerated in any regard.

This.

There is no simpler solution. Global permaban is a bit harsh imo as well. Unban him once this has been added to the lancher.
Blackbow is a bad admin,he once told me sandfriend It broked all my desire from the game/forums,i felt devastated, horrible don't know how to fix it.

Unfortunately macros are only suspicions, while pandor delivered proof for us.

Macro feints are really obvious the problem is getting proof. Really the only way to catch someone is in a duel server and recording them in action, I would love for them to be global banned too.
