there appears to be a potential influx of new and returning players that are unable to sate their nerd-lust. More relevant to my interests, I'm unable to get old homies back into this game nor some of my real life friends that have just gotten the proper gaymin' machine.

it's all part of the plan; they will get more horny during abstinence. after the fix, watch as addiction unfolds

That's great for long time players who are looking around the forums for a solution.  For someone who is like "Hmm think I'll give this mod a shot", they'll go "hmm download not working, mod is ded" and move along.
