I think that the conditions mentioned in the rules haven't been met, so it really depends on Byrdi and Dolphin if they accept this fight as their loss. If they don't, map wasn't arena, so it can't be considered a formal match. I say it's Byrdi's and Dolphin's choice if they let you advance without another fight or not. What Panos is talking about I consider a lesser formality.

Even though it seems unfair that you may need to face them again, the same would happen to them if they have won. Both of your teams should've checked the rules twice and make sure it's all how it was supposed to be.
