I am not a NA player neither where i there.

So let me get this straight, this tiny_glancer teamkills, gets banned. correct/not-correct?(nothing wrong with a ban in my opinion)

He is teamkilling nightingale on purpose because he feel he is not enforcing the "delaying rule". correct/not-correct?
  • Rule: "No drawing/delaying the round on purpose (i.e. running away or camping unreachable places when you're one of the last people alive)"
OK: running away and shooting enemies that are reachable by projectiles
NOT OK: running away or avoiding confrontation when there is nobody to shoot in range or everyone is behind cover.
NOT OK: running away or avoiding confrontation to search for ammo
NOT OK: hiding when last man standing (i.e. delaying)
If above is correct, what is it that makes you against enforcing the delaying rule ?

No that isn't the case. Tiny Glancer teamkilled me in spawn. Then on a completely irrelevant note several maps later rando made this post about me extending the round for 30 seconds because I was fighting after the flags were raised. I have no problem enforcing the "delaying" rule (though I don't force people to suicide charge bugged flags.)

This thread has 4 topics

Lobby unban sauce people that post just because.
Rando complaining about me banning someone while being "retired" and "breaking" the rules myself.
Game balance regarding "kiting" range and other stuff.
and lastly a discussion where I'm stating what rule I refuse to enforce as an admin which is the "flags raised bum rush flags rule"

A (completely rightful and justifiable) disregard of the rules, combined with Sauce's (well-deserved) populism.

I've yet to see any of these scenarios happen...

I'm really struggling to understand your perspective on this one. You're saying that delaying and camping doesn't happen, yet you choose to ignore the mechanic that is preventing these things from occurring? Clearly the flags serve their purpose, so why shouldn't the rule be enforced?

I'm saying that I've yet to see any legitimate delaying after the flags have been captured and if they are bugged the player(s) that are continuing to play shouldn't be punished for doing so (within logical reasoning of the already pre-existing delaying rule.) Rando thinks that since I didn't bum rush flags after they were captured. That I broke the rules. I'm saying I fail to recognize flags holding any authority when no rules are being broken. (Kicking/banning players for continued efforts to win the round after the broken flags have been raised shouldn't be a punishable act. While actual delaying is still punishable which Dolphin so nicely quoted for us.

I guess in short I'm strongly apposed to flags even existing in battle because they have created a new false sense of what is delaying.

Lobby unban sauce people that post just because.
-this is obviouse, if he teamkilled which no one denies, he should stay banned.

Random complaining about me banning someone while being "retired" and "breaking" the rules myself.
-Let them, false reporting in any game community usually leads to a ban in nearly any gaming community i have been in.

Game balance regarding "kiting" range and other stuff.
-Not your job unless they delay, infantry should just take cover.

lastly a discussion where I'm stating what rule I refuse to enforce as an admin which is the "flags raised bum rush flags rule"
-This i didnt quite get, sorry.

Then on a completely irrelevant note several maps later rando made this post about me extending the round for 30 seconds because I was fighting after the flags were raised. I have no problem enforcing the "delaying" rule (though I don't force people to suicide charge bugged flags.)
-Well normally, i would say that if the flags are bugged you should go seek them out for a fight, but not suacide no.
If you are locked in a fight with someone then you just finish that one and seek the flag cappers out afterwards.
Then the round goes as smooth as possible because it can be annoying just watching someone really try harding to win when flags are capped by kiting/running away.
Again i dont know the situation but i think what i wrote is what people mostly agree upon is the right way and it in no way includes getting yourself intentionally killed without trying to win.

And then again if you accidently delayed once then there is nothing to discuss as it can happen to everyone, i have experienced several times the flag spawn but i cant see the flag symbols in my hud.

To me it seems some people are trying to get Sauce unbanned but without really trying to discuss why.
So to the rest of you defending Sauce why should he be unbanned was it unjust or uncalled and why was it that?

Common sense! Why u no use it! I will keep it very simple:

Flags appear:
Team that puts the flag up wins - that's how it got introduced and how it works. Don't like this gamemode? - go siege or duel or deal with it
If the flags are bugged, the team that put their flag up should have won already. It's a bug that prevents it, a bug.
It's a different story when it's an even fight of 4 v 4 while someone puts the flag up and it's bugged. Then I say you don't give a damn and continue fighting.
If it's 1 v many and flags are bugged, if you're HA/HX/HT you should dismount. Riding and pewing is not confronting your enemy, it's being a my old friendget. When you are on foot and you kill the remaining enemies they just deserved to lose and the flags just didn't save them, just try not to prolong it past the imaginary boundaries of players' patience and don't be a my old friendget. You know you've been delaying when people whine about it and there's a general disapproval of your actions. 'merica democracy, listen to people.

Also Ninja_Thomek would've kicked immediately for delaying. Totalitarian abuse ninja.

And yes intentional teamhitting is a bad thing so Tiny should learn to control himself. You can always slap his wrist with a kick from the server or ban for a few hours and don't necessarily need to ban him for 30 days... You can also just forgive an intentional teamkill.

I don't know the situation but the tl;dr that I've written above matches the average joe, so unless it's a pretty special case, it all should apply.

Well fact is, NA players are mostly casual normies not knowing mechanics & who would have no chance against competitive EU players on the same ping.

Let's look at the evidence here people. Stop thinking with your feelings and follow Blue Knights suggestion. I was not there but have seen enough whining to know when I should type something completely incoherent and make us all dumber.

-Flags are up, Desire is last person alive, tries to win somehow but loses.
-Team with flags up still wins, no multi was harmed during your 1 minute wait.
-who cares. So you waited a minute of a round, remember when there weren't flags and people like Rohypnol would ride around on a horse shooting you for 0 damage for the full seven minutes, get valour for himself, and still LOSE!?!?! things could've been worse, for that ONE ROUND.

-Sauce plays captain cool beans and is like "I'm gun git dis admin sho it who da real man is ye"
-Tk's person for one round in spawn.
-gets banned for 30 days (A WEE BIT EXTREME YE?!)

-Forum floods with people who actually like the music in Space Jam even though it probably came out the year they were born, but they want to be relevant and seem cool on the internet.

-Everyone is wrong, so just BE WRONG.

I would lessen the sentence, high five everyone, and move on with my life. Shit, I probably would've just warned him or kicked him for a round but I wasn't there and it hasn't ruined my immersion at all.
