They were so impressed with your no education and McDonalds work history that they offered you a job and an apartment?
No wonder Sweden's economy has gone to shit.
You don't need education if you know how to trouble shoot low to medium complexity issues, like password resets, printer setups, connectivity, proxy issues and whatnot. Really simple stuff, the technical is half the job - the rest is providing professional service. I worked in sales before as well so I know how to talk with people, surprising? I was a tech support agent in Dublin for a year and a half, experience goes a long way.
The apartment you only have as long as you work with the agency.
Plus they offer free Microsoft and Cisco certificates. :-)
Also Sweden's economy is going to shit because of privatization...
genuinely interested in what you guys consult on
Yes well, it's mostly support desk, onsite and such. These days anyone can be called "consultant". My friend who works in a storage stacking boxes is also a "consultant".
The company provides IT-companies with support roles and customer service.
Having worked in Ireland where the work and life conditions are much tougher I am pretty attractive in this line of business.
