German politicians talking about humanitarian help for Greece: food, medicine and other important goods.
I see 2 possible outcomes:
Brussel chickens out of their hardcore rhetoric and gives Greece the easy way out and Tsipras is the mighty hero...
...or they actually let Greece slide into chaos cuz that's what they'll have from their "win of Democracy".
According to news reports, a bunch of EU countries, including France and Germany, are seriously pissed about the whole referendum thing, including those verbal attacks coming from Greece ("Economic terrorists"). How can Tsipras seriously say that he will have a better standing against the EU with the voting in his back when the whole referendum destroyed any trust left in that government?
He pissed off nearly every country in the EU with this move, called them names and seriously believes that now everyone all of a sudden is more willing to discuss terms than before. Germany and France are not the only countries that need to agree to new financial help but all the other 16 countries too.
I've read Tsipras said "We gonna have an agreement by Tuesday evening." Umm... no, you won't. Merkel can't just decide, she actually has to ask our national parliament beforehand. They have to agree by majority before she can agree to anything. That's gonna take a few days. By then the IWF ran out of mandate to provide financials to Greek banks, they run out of money... yes, even more than they already ran out of money by now...
And that's just the legal procedure for Germany. Not sure how it works in other countries but I am pretty sure they'll be hesitant to support any idea out of Greece for a few days either.
Enjoy your celebrations on the streets, Greece. From where I am standing, it looks like you let yourself get buttfucked by your own government.
