i removed locker itself but files still can not be opened

They did not change extension in the file name I presume?

For example from picture.jpg to picture.dat?

If you are meaning to tell me that its anything else than scam to click a button thats says: ¨Hey, we have just the program for what you need! its called lockpicker 3.23 anti locker software, and we require you to buy it before it actually does anything¨ Then it is you who is suffering brain damage. There are hundreds of sites that will gladly add some more adware to what already resides on your drive, just because you clicked that shiny green ¨remove adware button¨

If you think that going to safe mode and searching registry entries, startup processes, and files asociated with the virus is dumb, and you would rather download that awfully convenient-sounding software that you no doubt have long lived experíence with (*cough* bullshit *cough*).

The funny thing here is that you're judging a webpage by the appearance of a single button and making stupid presumptions. The software that blog is recommending to download is SpyHunter by Enigma software - http://www.enigmasoftware.com/products/spyhunter/
It's free to use to scan, pay if you want to actually use it to remove malware. Obviously this is where you have much better and free choices, up to the user, but that doesn't mean this tool wouldn't do the job. Now what you would do is lead Latvian on a mission to destroy his PC by finding and deleting registry entries and files that may or may not be related to this thing. Because you're beyond guides that have already removed this, huh?

You are acting like a dumb goat that thinks xant is somehow cool insulting me on every post and try to copy him, probably to gain popularity brownies, instead of trying posting something constructive. Posting first result your browser has found does not mean you are any smarter, especially since that software is obviously bullshit scam.

O yea

Free to scan, pay up if you want it to actually do something. The next thing you know it finds of 1 gazillion of results and say that unless you immediatelly purchase the full version, your computer will go up in flames in three days or so.

I believe I told him only to look for entries associated with the locker. If he is not sure the files he found are, he can always consult people who are more knowledgeable about that.

Actually, one button is enough to determine bullshit sites, like example those ¨download free mp3 converter¨ buttons, or those ¨download our free virus remover¨ buttons.

I told him to search for locker in registry and see if it brings up any results, but it seems that it was a program that could actually be removed by conventional means. I did not tell him to go on a file deleting rampage, so dont go twisting my words you shit.

And you know that how, by your vast experience that you have displayed so far?

I believe I told him only to look for entries associated with the locker. If he is not sure the files he found are, he can always consult people who are more knowledgeable about that.

Ok so he finds entries with 'locker' in it, then what? How does that help, at all? Unless you wanted to tell him to delete those entries.

Actually, one button is enough to determine bullshit sites, like example those ¨download free mp3 converter¨ buttons, or those ¨download our free virus remover¨ buttons.

And one post like this is enough to determine that your stupidity knows no limits, yet you continue to display it. It's okay you can stop, everyone here already knows.

Obviously those keys have references. he should then find if that key is related to the locker itself. If it is, it is clrear what to do with it.

As I said it is not rocket science to determine what that software is about.

And one post like this is enough to determine that your stupidity knows no limits, yet you continue to display it. It's okay you can stop, everyone here already knows.

HUEHEUEHEUHE ur so stoopeed lol XDXD

What a great argument. You post a link to site with useless anti-malware and I am the stupid one. Yeah, you must feel so smart now huh?

First, don't connect any backups to this computer yet. The ransomware might encrypt those as well if it detects them.

Second you should make sure the ransomware is gone. A full wipe is highly recommended AFTER you have tried accessing the shadow backup volume. Your files might still survive there. http://www.shadowexplorer.com/downloads.html

Before the eventual wipe, you should backup anything important to a secondary drive, preferably not the same one with your old backups.

Then wipe it all away and be more careful in the future.

As I said, anyone who isn't completely inept at PCs (sorry Latvian) would check what they're downloading first anyway. Obviously paid anti-malware software is a no no when you can get good free malware removal software. The steps are the important bit of that page, you australopithecus.

Then there's you, the master DYI computer guy. Who says the keys will have 'locker' in it anyway? Who says that even if you found registry entries with 'locker', it's the actual locker? How will you know the files that are related to this key are the actual files from the locker?

I'm just glad Latvian managed to remove the locker somehow before you turned his pc into a nightmare as well. Too bad it doesn't solve the files as you thought, Nightmare. For a master DYI computer guy, one would expect you to have at least the basic understanding of encryption and "de-encryption" huh?

Latvian, make sure you removed all the files/folders related to the locker, there's people who devoted some time to solving this problem and you have some info here: http://www.reddit.com/r/self/comments/375j6s/psa_a_small_but_growing_number_of_redditors_have/

And again, avoid advice by fools.

Except that this will not help him one bit and he will be much better off doing a restore you arrogant piece of shit.

Once again, you are assuming what you want. First off, I did not guarantee anything. I told him to try, Yet you are so desperate to find anything to power your argument taht you will make up shit on spot. Good going maggot.

Are you implying I dont know what encryption and decription means? Are you high?

It's obvious you don't. Anyone in doubt just has to read your posts. Also, way to appear smart by saying "decription" when someone says you don't know what "de-encryption" means.
Meaning lies as much
in the mind of the reader
as in the Haiku.

people are like potatoes, they come in different shapes and sizes and they all are beautifull
masturbating while looking in a mirror isnt wrong unless its the rear view mirror and you are driving a school buss.

it doesnt matter if you are happiest person or an unfortunate weeper, a powerfull beast or a terrifying creature. we are all equal, in the eyes of the reaper.
