I liked rolling a lot in its old state and didn't see why it needed to be changed. No one ever pulled it off with 100% accuracy, and the easier input allowed for people with higher pings to also make use of it. It was never a guaranteed get out of jail free card either, since rolling on hills, into walls, or into other players would never get you far enough from any threat (not to mention holding any mouse buttons/wasd during input would mess it up). However I can see how it was arguably too easy/rewarding in its prior state. From what I recall, San cut the rolling distance in half. I would have preferred to see it cut down to 75% if anything, since at 50% you can't really escape much of anything. It would be neat if there could be an addition where rolling is easy to pull off, however a failed attempt makes your character get up slower, or something along those lines, that way there is some risk involved and maybe you don't always want to attempt a roll.
