A gut slider is very much in the plans :P

Hopefully those guts will be properly spillable as well.
Do you honestly think you have any sort of moral authority, Reyiz? Go genocide some more armenians and deny it ever happened, please, and stay in the middle east.

Can female characters have like a 30% penalty on everything combat related? Gotta be realistic about things.

From what I managed to find in my quick-search it seems that female warriors during medieval times were not really a common thing, there should be a way to limit their numbers so we don't end up playing a medieval combat simulation with mostly female characters (and yes - they should have some kind of minor strength penalty to be realistic).

Mostly Vikings and Easterners (Mongols, Japs and such) were known for taking female warriors to their wars and it was less than 10% of their numbers. Most of the "famous" female warriors were exceptions. Found some interesting stuff here:

Ofc - I'm no expert but I find this topic interesting. Maybe our Vizantologist Zimke knows more about it.

Not common true, but what about Boudicca? Burnt down 3 Roman towns, killed 70,000-80,000 Romano-British with her female-led Iceni rebellion. Dont see the balance value in decreasing stats for female characters, maybe RP value but it sounds like the game will be combat-orientated. Warrior Queen all the way (not for me but in general, I only make male characters).
Medieval nab :).

I don't see why there should be any penalty on female characters though.
The game will never be realistic enough for female characters to be the most unrealistic thing.

EDIT: Joan of arc!

I expect nothing less than fat slob 600lb whales mass rolling down a hill into other players.  The effect on morale will be devastating

EDIT: Joan of arc!

... did not actually fight. But same could be said for many of those medieval military leaders.

You don't need to look at history to know that women are inferior to men when it comes to physical strength and speed.

Inb4 strategical leader like any commander and did no fighting of her own.

If she did, this would probably be the result.

Bannerlord will have female characters. I can't really stand playing with male char, so if you don't have female char you can consider yourself Leshma free :D

you can have female characters, it's in the game design and the website profile. the female voices are a bit rough sounding though and I think somebody could do more female armour.
