Well arguably I was only a couple hours late (Idk the time conversion exactly). But regardless the deadline was in the middle of the NA workday, so I couldn't do anything til I got home. And this was during a week where I had a lab due and that took all my free time, after being away for all of last week. I haven't been in contact with Hungry much at all over the past couple weeks, but when we last spoke he was going to try and get a better quality recording done in the meantime. Hence, we were waiting til the last few days to submit it instead of submitting it a couple weeks ago. He has been real busy and wasn't able to get to the studio to record it, so I just submitted what I had. Sure I could have submitted it two weeks ago, but the hope was to get a better quality recording in, potentially with some sound editing, back up vocals, etc.
Also was there even a specific time established until today? I had just assumed it was due "sometime during the 2nd" which I am fairly certain I was able to do, even in eurotime. If I had known it was due early-ish in the (NA) day I would have just submitted it last night instead. If you don't want to throw us in with the contest, that's fine... didn't mean to cause such a fuss over it and besides, making music that some people can get entertainment out of is enough of a reward in its own right, this just gave us an excuse to do so.
