That's the thing about marketing, it doesnt matter how good your game is, but how good people 'think' the game is, it's the only way to get people to buy it or back it. On Taleworlds forums we were talking to the Warband community, that should have been an area we could have guaranteed interest and support in a game like M;BG. Unfortunately crpg does not enjoy the most excellent reputation in those circles and that created immediate doubt.

crpg doesn´t have the best reputation, I also got that message when playing on some native servers a year ago. People blabber about "grinding shit" and "no skill compared to native" etc etc
But that doesn´t surprise me, if you only play the mod for some days (well not anymore since the new patch, but for the past years), you only get the peasant experience of the game, and that´s by far not the best experience. So people who only tried it for a short time of course don´t have the best memories of it.
But oh well, at least the new players now can already start with 25 and get into it faster
