I don't really understand how the dalai lama can be considered a libertarian given his extremely reactionary stances on anything sexual. Surely he's against state meddling in individual affairs, but if the religion does it it's a-okay.

Other than that, the fact that the good guys are libertarians only makes sense, when the test conspicuously ignores questions that are not complete strawmen (should two consenting adults be allowed to do anything in the bedroom? I mean seriously what kind of moron would say no...). There are a lot of tougher questions on the libertarian/authoritarian scale, such as those related to ecology. The security vs civil liberties ones are again complete strawmen, and anyone not scoring libertarian on these is either insane or living in neo-con wonderland.

You mean you think that because they both consent they should be allowed to dabble in germ warfare or necromancy?

Sure it sounds reasonable now, but a 'yes' means they can do *anything*!

germ warfare... you mean sex?

HESKEY, do you realise that the whole of that page relates to sex and the header specifically says:
Finally, a look at sex.

But yeah sure, germ warfare truly is sex... And a dead person cannot consent so necromancy does not fit within those rules...

Anyway, the whole test is fairly skewed, and something else is what people believe vs what we would actually do if we were unfortunately in power... but yet again in Diplomacy 3 I always end up in that area, even when I start with the US or some other country that starts far away...

I can't into political introspection with Democracy 3, I always roleplay somebody with extreme views, and it always ends up working. In that sense the game doesn't accurately reflect actual politics and economics.

Oh yeah the extreme runs are fun, but the once or twice that I have done it remotely similarly to how I would actually do it that has happened. IRL I wouldn't have lasted a couple of weeks in office

Thing is, most political programs would work in theory. Ex, communism is working with small communities (10 to 500 persons), but not working at all with big ones, because there will always be shitheads ready to abuse the system, and it gives something like USSR, with no rights at all, massive collectivism, massive propanganda and brain washing... Actually sad that humans are deeply egoistic beings, otherwise, a lot of things would be possible.

Pretty much what I expected after I did the questions, not entirely what I expected when I first saw the scales.

I ended up on the left libertarian side as well which isn't where I'd put myself.

Questions were bad though.
