Retirement level 36

I think it would be fun to have the retirement level be 36 but require the same amount of exp as 35 and scale the leveling accordingly. This would allow a lot of builds at 35 to be playable and enjoyed and not only for players who are striving for (present) 36.

If you retire at 36 you get 3 LPs rather than 1 at 3, for the same exp per LP. So it's better just to do that really, unless you really want the gen bonus

I was thinking of the gen bonus because I'm generation 3. Getting to 36 would take forever.

Max gen bonus is 16.

But the gen bonus is not really necessary.

My main characters I am playing are all gen1 and levelling them works perfectly fine.
For all the non-believers, look no further than this thread for proof that while strat battles are won/lost in NA3/EU3, strat wars are won and lost on the forums.

I thought max gen bonus was at 16, so 15 x 3 = 45% additional experience? If my understanding is correct than it makes much more sense to retire at 35 for awhile before heading towards 36.

450 is 45% of 1000 (the standard X1 tick, before everything got doubled), which means that what you both said is correct, and the same thing. Currently with an X1 multiplier you get 2000 xp at gen 1. At gen 2 you get 2060 xp, which is a 3% increase. At gen 16 you would instead get 2900 xp per tick, which is a 3*15 = 45% increase (the max possible xp increase).

That said, if you want to go to higher levels, I would recommend getting a higher gen bonus beforehand. However, if you would rather have more loompoints, then it is more beneficial to go from level 35 to 36 since you maintain a higher level for longer, instead of having to start back at level 1 and grinding your way up to 35 three times.

Thanks for the clarification, Jona!

I'm not sure what I'll do at this point but I do know that I want higher generation so I can level faster overall. Being gen 3 is rough  :(
