Yeah it does, and theres 2 sets of lenses come with the HMD (I;m not sure what theyre for exactly, one feels fine and one feels like my eyeballs are being turned inside out).

I wear glasses and use the shortest lenses... I have scratched one pair of glasses on the lenses though so watch out.

chadz, would be awesome if you got MBG going with rift! Looking at the effort that goes into making it work in bigger engines with bigger teams in other engines, would be a huge achievement.

FPS games don't work very well with RIFT, that's actually the biggest problem right now. They need to reword typical FPS game mechanic to make it work properly with VR. Games where you are in fixed position aren't an issue (driving/flight sims) but as soon you can freely move around and look in the different direction things become messy.

Polygon reviewer said new prototype blows DK2 out of the water, and that while he felt nausea with both DK1 and DK2, he doesn't feel it with new prototype. Nor can see the pixels.

Rumour is that new prototype has 21:9 AMOLED screen, resolution unknown. Sync rate is 90Hz.

In my opinion higher resolution is the gamechanger. In the DK2 I can see each color inside each pixel and reading is almost impossible. Nausea varies a lot from person to person.

Minecraft works reasonably well and it is quite impressive to look at, however I didn't manage to make "leaning" work properly, moving the oculus around only makes the view move by a very small distance.

From one perspective oculus type 3D makes much more sense in a close up melee type game than in a shooter because of parallax.

You would get much more frequent and perhaps even useful depth perspective on incoming swords i.ex..

I forgot this question but yes, I have a complicated set of eye problems (different mix of near-sight and astigmatism for each eye) with rather thick lenses on my glasses and it doesn't really impact anything. I imagine a really large hipster eyeglass frame would not fit inside the rift though.
