So since you've managed to miss out nerfing 1h cav in every patch recently, can i ask will this ever be done? Will these 1 hitting no skill players ever be nerfed?

Instead of nerfing the class they made it unplayable for some of us high level 1H cav that there were lots of

However your continuing crying seems to be all about one class and one class only. While 1H cav is OP due to high damage, 2H cav does even more damage and even the pole cav does almost as much when against heavier armors. With 58 head armor on my 2H I lose about the same when hit by 1H cav and a high speed lancer. Lancers do less damage overall but have a lot more reach, so it's pretty balanced atm imo. 2H cav loses a shield, but gains better ability on foot, especially when using something like a Longsword.

Just respec back to horse archer and see how OP 1H cav is against it's predators.

All cav does is sneaking up behind you and hitting you when you are distracted for a second. Don't see how reach makes up for a lot less damage there.

2h cav is OP as well, no doubt, especially when using the Morningstar. Being as OP as 1h cav doesn't mean it shouldn't get nerfed.

However, with the recent Riding-requirement nerf I think that was enough until everything else gets nerfed down again.

Everybody is using light/medium horses now. There are barely any Heavy Horses left. So grab a pokey polearm and watch the horses bow to your feet.
For all the non-believers, look no further than this thread for proof that while strat battles are won/lost in NA3/EU3, strat wars are won and lost on the forums.

1h cav damage is superior to that of the lancer, its the only class that 1 hit kills me and everyone else, ive played as 1h cav and you have to agree it vastly superior compared to the 2 others.

Seems like there are even more cav than before, and i have always found light cav to be superior to heavy cav, i would hardly call last patch a nerf to pure cav players, but more of a nerf to hybrid builds.

Have you ever considered playing with the sound on ?

Cav is the weakest class in head-on confrontations.

I did not really notice an influx of cav players to be honest. I made a cav charater yesterday myself though, since most people are using lighter horses now it is easier to actually kill them while being cav yourself. Maybe others think the same and thus started using cav? Dunno. If so then they are playing when I am not :D

Having played all of the classes I wouldn't say 2H cav is inferior in any way to 1H cav, basically the same but without a shield and with higher damage. As I've said in before I'm not that good at lance cav and it's far easier to do well as 1H cav than it is as lance cav. However there are some great lancers* in this game that can do some epic maneuvering to outreach 2-handers and polearmers and to fight them head on. It seems like it takes real skill to master that class and buffing it would be hugely problematic imo. Just look how well MUSASHI does already and I don't think most 1H cav can get anywhere close to Gurnisson's lance cav KD, maybe Royanss.

I agree on the point that this patch didn't nerf cavalry. However it did buff horse archers and archers which I think was terribad for balance.

Edit: *=Great as in very good, not lame ass great lance abuser

I believe that bump slashes/stabs deal more damage than they should, most likely due to a bug. They're supposed to deal 50% of its original damage, but it doesn't seem to work that way in-game. It'll be one of the things to bug cmp about whenever WSE2 gets updated.

2h cav deals less damage (unless you enjoy cav with a 85 length weapon that is) and cannot use shields (or if you use a shield it's 1h wpf anyway). Shields are actually pretty damn important for melee cav so that's a huge drawback. Of course, NA players won't agree here because we all know there's no ranged over there.

Afaik 2H and 1H cav now have the same malus on horseback. Meaning Longsword will do 40c damage, while Arabian Cavalry Sword does 36c damage. I might be wrong here and I've heard conflicting info from devs and balancers about this, but in my testing I found that +3 ACS and +0 lolsword do the same amount of damage with the same build. Also Morningstar seems to do full damage on horse back - that's 41p and will onehit most guys in plate with one hit to the chest.

The non-bastard 2-handers deal less damage. That's utterly retarded imo.

While shield is important, really important, I don't think you should forget the melee ability with the bastard swords either. At least before the nerfs, they were in the top tier of two-handers. You can hardly say the same about any of the 1H cavalry swords.

Approximations from damage reports

Pure 2h: 25% reduction
2h/1h with shield: 0% on horse(a bug it seems), 10% on foot
2h/1h without shield: 0%
1h: 0%
1h/2h in 2h mode: ???, never tested

It's been a while but I used to blast people into a powdery mush with a Side Sword stab from horse back.

You can't get the 1h into 2h mode from horse back.

I've always preferred 1h on horse back. It's more fun, and against other cav it always felt like more of a competition. You have more tricks up your sleeve and more options and executing the moves well requires skill and practice. Also it's quiet a brilliant moment when you chamber a couched lance as you ride past and slap their horse on the arse.

Good news everybody! It's not nut cancer :)

Even if 2h technically deals less damage than 1h on horseback, using a Morningstar still vaporises anything in its way and is still easy to use despite the short reach.
