Not a single person in the front row is English. Is anyone really surprised that England didn't make it out of the group stage? Fine, they're not mathematically out, but if you have to rely on a mathematical chance to advance you've already lost.
This really.
The 2 biggest German clubs, Bayern München and Borrusia Dortmund, look the same.
I think the difference with the German National team is that we have German people playing outside of Germany. Who's the best British player not playing in Premier League but for a big club somewhere in Europe?

I wasn't cheering for Urugay (I was cheering for Netherlands and Chile cuz Spain played freaking boring 1:0 football) but I still think it's funny that big names as Spain and England are going home this early. I don't believe Germany is going too far either, tbh. We'll see...
When west germany annexed east germany, nobody moved a finger too.

That's just plain wrong.

Dortmund: Weidenfeller, Hummels, Schmelzer, Durm, Bender, Kehl, Großkreutz, Reus, Gündogan (if healthy)
München: Neuer, Lahm, Boateng, Kroos, Schweinsteiger, Müller, Götze, Badstuber (if healthy)

These players are all starters or at least top reserves.

Manchester City: Hart, Milner

The tendency is the same. It may not be as bad but it's sure going that way.

How many top clubs in europe have more native players in starting eleven than Bvb or Bayern?

Our defence and central midfielders were just awful, no passion, no leadership, no will to win.

See England.... this is what happens when you don't pick John Terry (Captain, Leader, Legend)

And as for Jordan Henderson, I'd rather play with 10 men.

Sorry, but I cannot agree with you here. Freland already posted the names of German players solely playing for Bayern and Dortmund. They are joined by a handful of players who play for top European clubs (yes, I do count Arsenal to these clubs) and I can not see an upcoming change to this trend. As much as I dislike them, you even have to praise Bayern because a good bunch of their players (Müller, Lahm, Schweinsteiger) are indeed "their" players, i.e. raised at their own club.

German football had this problem several years ago, however, and they learned their lesson (1/4 final exit in 1998 WC, Group stage exit in 2000 EURO, Group stage exit in 2004 EURO including an embarassing 0-0 vs Latvia).

The result vs Portugal surprised me a lot, I wonder though how it would have ended if Pepe had not done "what he is best in- being sent off with a red card" (quote German TV).

I think Costa Rica actually has a chance to win this game. They're keeping possession well and have made good opportunities.

Also, lmao @ the Italian coach begging for water breaks. Baby Italians who have never lived in anything other than 20 degree weather and complaining about a little humidity, are you kidding me? ”In certain moments I felt like I had hallucinations due to the heat." hahahaha

FIFA is joke. I have yet to see penalty awarded to "lesser" countries on this world cup.

Italy is playing crap (intentionally I bet). They deserve to lose this one and join Spain and England in the plane.

This officiating is just horrible. I don't see how he didn't call that, the defender didn't even have a play on the ball. But what a goal by Costa Rica, what an upset that would be if they won.

If Costa Rica win this match, Italy will have to play against Suarez and I'm not sure they can come out as winners out of that match.

We'll hear a lot excuses after first leg, how it's hot in Brazil, how primadonas are tired after a long season. Fuck them all and their gold digger wives.
