In 1985 Dark Knight Returns remade the Batman image to the dark and brooding Batman that most people know him as today, the earlier comical Batman nearly forgotten. The same year Watchmen was released and redefined the genre. Two years later Spider-Man: Kraven's Last Hunt was released and did the same to the Spider-Man franchise; a darker theme and emotional depth set on a gothic backdrop.

Instead of dark alleyways and gothic architecture it's bright sunny streets with friendly pizza-delivery guys.

Instead of detective mode, gadgets and brutal finishers it's all 'spidey-sense', webshooters and peaceful stun moves.

And instead of Kevin Conroy it's a hip, young, wise-cracking spidey.

I'd pay out for that game.

brutal finishers from a guy who never killed anybody, :/ at least spidey doesn't pretend to be some sort of dark knight you know (jk i love both, both the greatest characters in their respective comic publishers (yes superman is THE shittiest hero and yes spiderman is better than wolverine or whoever you can come up with, certainly thor))

Same here. I really dislike dark, gritty super heroes. That is why I was never fan of modern Batman, even though I liked cheesy TV show as a kid.

That new Superman movie has shown us that some super heroes should stay the way they are.

Should I mention that Avengers > Dark Knight imho.

superman is shit whatever they do to him honestly, it's nonsense; he cannot possibly lose  and if he does is because of retarded writing. batman in the dark way is a good thing, because now he belongs to it, it has been shown many times there and it worked well errytime

I have the game preloaded, I got it for free when I bought my 980, but I haven't bothered playing it yet after the massive shit storm I've read on the Steam Community, it has mostly negative reviews and everyone is pretty much saying it's a pile of console designed shite, I kinda wish I had sold the key for it now instead of adding it to my Steam library lol.

I have a bad feeling about it, too. Also got a free key with my GPU.. I'd rather have had a Arkham City key.

Granted, port has issues in performance. Other than that, it's the known Batman game mechanics.
So, saying it's a console designed shite or Arkham City is more interesting is pretty silly. The core mechanics are identical

AC was more of Asylum, Origins was more of AC and this is more of Origins...

I'm mostly concerned there's too much Batmobile. And I like the comic look more from city than the power armor movies look in the sequels. But I hope it's a good game, the two first Rocksteady games were excellent.

Yea, the shitstorm is fun to watch
I am lucky, I guess. It runs absolutely playable on my rig with all the few settings highest...

So I tweaked the config to unlock FPS and decided to just give it a quick spin. With everything set to highest and all the Nvidia gameworks settings turned on, I seem to be getting a pretty steady FPS at like 60 FPS ( Vsync ), so I can't complain really. I do have a reasonably good rig though I guess. I haven't played one of these games before so I don't really know much about them and I haven't played this much yet but I will probably start tomorrow and see if I really like it. These are my steam screenshots. EDIT: Seems like you gotta click them to see, cba to fuck about or host them elsewhere lol.

Edit: Wow, they even removed it from the Steam starting page. Only by search or going to Top Sellers, you'll find it.
That's like the hardest punishment you can get considering the AAA-status it would have had...
