Dedicated thrower, but quite unhappy with the throwing buff. The pierce weapons were already pretty much where they needed to be. it was the cut weapons that felt underwhelming because of everyone being in armour.

The damage isn't even the main issue with it, the problem around throwing is the nerfed ranged stagger since you have to be fairly close to be accurate, and will likely get sucked into combat with everyone in their agi plate.

Some minor damage buffs? Okay, sure. cut weapons got like +3-ish damage if they got buffed, but the jarids, javelins, and war darts getting +10 pierce? The war darts now do more damage than jarids did before the buff, and they're the low tier shit pierce throwing weapon.... Still can't block with them in melee, but it's a bit obscene of a damage jump.
Nerf everything. Buff naked fist fights.

I've tried strat as a 1h player today. Don't bother getting any 1h for your army. Just buy shields for shieldwall.  :lol:

if you want to add new animations can you not add a "fighting styles" button (as there was in that old game jedi academy)

press the button and you get a new set of animations, press it again and you go back to the native animations

You guys have to give the new animation more time.  Like, try it for a couple weeks or so to get used to it.  It feels weird to me too, but I've found it pretty effective in some situations.  Like, I'd use right swing and I would guess it will miss or glance, and it ends up hitting the guy in the face instead.  Then I'm all like "righteous!"

If the animation were to be tweaked though, I would start the hand a little higher before the swing starts.  Right now it looks like the character model brings his hand horizontal to swing, and the abruptly lifts it up for a diagonal attack .

Now all we need are cheaper horses in strat!

Glad to see devs still working on the mod.

the new right swing effectively removes your ability to fight back against 2 handers with a 1 hander; wheras before you had some chance to outrange them with a rightswing, now they can dominate you by playing on their massive range advantage with their own right swings (which are not gimped and operate at full, considerable length)

I think some initial complaints will be because its simply different. Too early to say for me. The thing is it swings downward like left and overhead, which might make it hit the head more. If it reaches nearly as far and hits faster it should be better than before. Not that it needed changing though

Now I don't think that it is functionally worse than the old animation, just to be clear, I think it looks worse than the old animation. We had come to a point where most all animations, if not terribly correct, were at least not terribly incorrect and somewhat aesthetically pleasing. This new animation looks wonky as balls. Though I have noticed that it looks worse with swords than with axes.
