I don't get mad when i get killed by skilled archers such as Tenne, Blackbow, Pollocabollo and such, what bugs me is STF characters,skilless archers who shoot with nomad bow + tatar arrow , deal no damage just annoy the fuck out of me while i try to fight 3v1 in melee.

Yea those lvl 36 archer with a full set of masterwork looms are ok but those stf with regular weapon should definetely get nerf ?

I get your point about armor but still.... wut ?

I haven't seen any 2h QQ threads, but I see them for pole and 1h. Time to give 2h the buff it deserves?

IMO nerf armour, not weapons; gauntlets need a similar looming system to the change arrows got, you shouldn't be able to get 15 body armour for 2 weight from gloves it's just silly, IMO make 3 stages of hand armour, with the heaviest gauntlets at +3 giving  +5 armour, the medium ones giving +4 armour, and the lighter ones giving +3 armour

atm there is basically no reason not to take ridiculous amounts of armour, the mad levels of survivability it gives is way too powerful

When they tweaked looms they should have done a straight nerf to gloves. I would scale them like Green= +1 armour, Blue +1 armour, then - weight or something. Not sure what else could be tweaked. The base armour could come down too

Main problem is theres a lack of negative consequence for getting +15 armour. The difference is mostly just higher upkeep. So i'd bring the amount of armour you get down across the board

If I could have my way, the highest armor value you'd be able to get, would be 55-60. But this is not likely to happen, it'd require rebalancing all damage values. Gloves on the otherhand, particularly their looms, can certainly have their armor values adjusted downwards, without too much of an issue.

Yeah I've suggested this a few times, the problem, is that it still doesn't really address the major issues with armor. Gloves would lose 2(leather) or 3 armor, which by itself, won't really make a huge impact.

Gloves share the same loom properties as armour. We'll have to make our own imodbits just for gloves, something that requires an entirely different proposal. Waiting for a better solution that's not just plain nerfing gloves to the ground seems like the better choice right now. Currently, it takes a unanimous decision of the current active item balancers who often have their own stance on subjects, so a substantial change requires a lot of preparation and data to convince people. Even at a basic level, I have a problem with gloves giving so much armour as opposed to some offensive abilities.

The problem with messing with weight on looms is how to balance the armour to weight effectiveness. If the effectiveness remains the same/similar, it will just decrease the maximimum armour while everything in-between will just be the same. This makes it so most will just migrate to slightly heavier armours and end up in the same situation as before. Having slightly more armour and less weight just for gloves (and giving the heaviest gloves a weight penalty or something for +5 armour) would be a small step forward, but it won't really "fix" anything imo.

buff armor , and put a better str requirement . Since full armor have been nerfed , i'd like to see a 27 str requirement on milanese plate. Then you would be able to buff armor since the guy having it would nearly have no wpf

all i noticed is that nomad and tatar bow are too accurate. There shouldn't be possible to have pinshots in medevial game...

Armor is fucking useless anyway. I still can't understand why did devs removed good old glance mechanic in the first place...

Archery is too accurate in this game, far more accurate than it should ever be. Yumi bows for instance you know their effective range ?

Archers play a minigame within this game, shoot the round targets a.k.a. heads ! It's good, skilled archers get their kill easily while noobs only shoot to harass. Keep it that way. I was suggesting realistic balance archery but doing that requires balancing of armors and shit aswell so it's never gonna happen . Therefore all i need is don't let everyone who shoots a shit at you hits a ton ! I love ranged in server it adds too much to game's depth but how the fuck am i gonna play if im gonna die before reaching to the damn battlefield. Reward good and dedicated archers by buffing their gear, Im ok. But don't let those noobshits fucking hit like a truck to me,from 200 meters, smiling with confidence...

Plate is easier to wear than mail, especially high quality plate like milanese.
