Seems like someone turned off a bunch of features on the PC version but someone found out and reactivated stuff.
Maybe to make it look not too good on PC to avoid making consoles look bad? Could that really happen?

Of course they have made it intentionally worse, because console peasants need to feel special, and to push their next-gen console agenda.

Honestly, if they gave PC at least some effort, console gaming would probably die out soon.
Tseng: Used to the bitter taste of refusal, this only serves to reinforce his greatest life lession yet.
Cloud: And that is?
Tseng: Bitches, man.

The implications for a full industry if those "pay to look worse"-theories are true...

Ok just finished it, and i'm kinda satisfied by it; the game is fun, graphics are absolutely not next gen, that is true, but it still looks good.

now i don't really get if my standards got extremely lowered, but as i said, i enjoyed the game; even though the story was typical retarded american plot (still catchy if you ask me), and the hacking is uber unrealistic (which doesn't necessarily mean a bad thing), i see this as a game that finally proposes something new and original, and being it new often means it's not perfect; this new way of taking care of chases, the well balanced stealth/action combat, side missions that have potentials, the modern chicago setting: this is a generally good game imo.

honestly if i had to choose which of these three helped the "gaming cause" the most,Dishonored, Bioshock Infinite (both considered good games) and Watch Dogs i'd definitely say the latter. developers said it's going to be turned into a franchise, which again, i believe it should be a good thing; the problem is it's a ubisoft franchise, which usually means a bad thing; just like assassin's creed, this is a game with potential, it is normal it has flaws, a lot, being it something new, but the fundamental idea it's rightly placed imo, it just need to be polished, a lot maybe, but i believe it's on the right rails.

They arent true. The hidden settings are for cinematic/marketing video captures.
