I haven't posted in my own thread for a while. Here's stuff from Earthbound, my favorite game of all time. It was released for SNES in 1995, towards the end of the console's life. Music by
Keiichi Suzuki. Draws from earlier 16 bit rpgs, but there's no other SNES game with a soundtrack like this. Just listen.
You come upon a remote mountain town where everyone has been brainwashed into the cult of Happy Happyism. They must make everything blue! Paint the town blue!
This is an area where a scientist is chillin' and studyin' Stone Henge. Also his assistant is bigfoot. He is the grandfather of one of the party members.
The desert zone of the game. The music sounds like it's coming in on a tinny AM radio as you wander the desert.
Dalaam, the home of your fourth party member Prince Poo (yes, that's his default character name). It's Tibet/Bhuddist themed area.
Moonside is, well... You need to see it. You go into this run-down bar where the jukebox is playing this:
Pretty spooky, right? Well you tap a secret button on the jukebox and you black out. When you wake up you find yourself in Moonside...
This is the area before the first boss you fight. It's an arcade.
Will post more eventually.
