Crpg keeps crashing

Alright, so I changed the face of one of the crashing characters which worked. However, another character whose face I changed had no change. I deleted the character (through the warband multiplayer menu, not crpg site) then made a new one with the same name. I managed to log in but spawned naked with level 0. I tweaked his face, relogged and crashed >< 

edit- I got as far as the faction selection screen for the latest crash

Yea I changed my Character face and It worked, I still crash sometimes during rounds...but its not as constant.

I just downloaded the new 201 patch and when I click to open the cRPG mod it loads about 40% then it crashes to the desktop and I get this error:

RGL ERROR: Unable to open file: Modules\cRPG\Resources\anim_papa_lazarou.brf

I am a windows Vista 64bit user and I am playing it on Steam.

The trick of switching from native to cRPG when selecting a cRPG server results in the same error.

Try fiddling with configuration settings on mod choose menu. Turn on "Load Textures on Demand." It has worked for some people.

"Load Textures on Demand" has been on the whole time, but I tried it without it and I still get the same error the same way.

Have you downloaded .200 as well? If not, delete your crpg folder and reinstall it. Even if you have, delete and reinstall anyways. Sounds like you're missing data for the new animations which is found in the .200 patch

well... Deleting the Crpg folder, installing the old .200 version and then installing version .201 followed by the mini update (which I'm not sure if it was necessary) made my game work completely.

I used to have the same problem, thanks Bane for the fix:

If the above stuff doesn't work, try deleting your profile.dat file - its in AppData/roaming/Mount&Blade Warband or something like that. AppData is a hidden folder so you need to turn on view hidden files and folders.

The profile.dat file has all your profiles stored so back it up in case its not the problem. It'll be created again next time you play Warband and make another profile. Deleting it won't affect anything except that you'll have to recreate all your profiles and spend time getting the faces right again.

It might not work, but its worth a try

For Win7 users, profile.dat is located in C:\Users\Your user name\AppData\Roaming\Mount&Blade Warband

Don't bother reinstalling Warband/cRPG, the profile.dat file in AppData can only be removed manually.

pff... and it starts crashing every so often again... seems better than before though.
Deleted the profiles.dat and reinstalled did seem to help, I mean... managed to play 2 maps after each other.
But then it crashed once... and  now its like every 2-3 rounds it crashes

I am using Windows7 x64 Steam version, when 0.201 came out, I deleted the old cRPG folder, extracted the new, then downloaded the minipatch and overwrote the files in the new cRPG folder with its content. working.

Do you have an administrator profile ?

yep. Got administrator rights... It is really weird though... managed to play through a couple of maps again and now I'm getting the crashing sequence again. Which is that it usually crashes when I start running just after spawn. Tried doing custom battles... 200v200 and its working fine so I don't know what it is.

edit: busy right now with downloading new patch to see if it works for me

Downloaded and played for a bit... and crashed... think it might be just my computer if nobody else has any problems with it. Kinda weird that any other game works. (mass effect 2, two worlds II, etc).
