Noob Question #2

So I've been told to use quick march when I want to get somewhere fast but also when I think I won't get attacked. That part makes sense, but what determines how long the quick march is for? I've had it at 500+ minutes and sometimes at 200 minutes.

I looked in the strat for noobs and couldn't find answer :(

In the info tab there should be a stat telling you that quick march will last for X more minutes. X should start at 300 (I think?) and count down from when you started the march. 5 hours at double speed, basically. After that you're exhausted and move at half speed for a while. I don't remember how long exactly but it's longer than 5 hours.

If somebody's chasing you, you quick march to the nearest fief to escape. If you do it for no reason and you're left dragging your feet across a big field you're vulnerable because pretty much anyone will be able to catch and attack you. It's not used only to escape, but consider the advantages and disadvantages when using it.
Legs are used for standing, walking, jumping, running, kicking, and similar activities.

And being exhausted makes your gear crappier or what?

But if you are not worried about being attacked its okay?

Because I wanna get as far as i can while im awake and then have the exhaustion go while i sleep.

That is an option. If you don't have any cargo to be stolen, then you won't likely be attacked. Unless someone just has a beef with you.

If you're exhausted you move at half of normal speed, that's all.

Hauling ass to make it into a safe fief before you fall asleep (or whatever) then recovering from exhaustion while you're occupied IRL is a fairly common trader tactic. The trade off is that you could cover more distance in that time at a normal pace, depending on the terrain.

You probably won't have to worry about being attacked early this round since most people are unarmed but keep it in mind later. Especially if you're carrying a lot of goods.

With the new Crime mechanic, you can't do this as willy nilly now.

Exhaustion lasts longer if you have more troops, I believe.  I don't think Anders is correct.  Also, you will cover less distance total during your QM+exhaustion time than just moving regularly.  Hope this helps.

Sumpters bonus is lower than for the rest of horses, but they give some (something like 1.3 vs 1.6 or something like that)
