remove repairs on dtv?

I would like to see repairs removed on dtv for these reason:

1) no more cheap gear leechers
2) everyone taking good gear means a better dtv experience for everyone, people will take out their best gear to play together!
3) I have never heard bots complain about high armour STR crutchers
4) suicide runners are actually easier to spot as they need multiple hits to go down (when using heavy gear to blend in)

just drop the gold gain a bit and make the waves a bit harder and there should be no problem with too massive gold gain, people will gain the same but will actually be trying hard to win instead of just trying to die as fast as possible in their lederhosen.

I mean come on, we are playing TOGETHER on dtv, this mode can only benefit from having teams full of glorious knights in heavy armor!

DTV is already a huge gold income, removing repairs would only make this even worse than it is now.

that's why I said the gold gain should be dropped a bit if implemented

...it seem's dtv becomes more as more to e-sport rather than a chill-out-party.

you mean sit back in leech gear and let your team farm the massive xp and gold for you? You can start up your own xp-less and gold-less server and chill out there if you really like it so much.

so what's the problem with removing the upkeep on your armour?

1: ...define cheap gear , min str required ? ..(surely i know, i don't mean lederhosen & such obviously stuff above lvl 4) ...& i hope you just mean armors & not weapons 'bout gear.
2: ...best gear is far relative depending on lvl & build & peoples taste & it could be a bad experience for an xbow in full plate as an example , but still funny.
3: ...that's because they know, they have str crutchers too nowadays ...& a lot of them.
4: ...so, could any player in full plate (where isn't that experienced in blocking) be a potentially suicide runner then ?

..waves harder as it currently is ? it's nice to have the next wave after ninja & tihrs atm & upkeep sucks anyway in general to be honest.

..all in all still not a bad idea & i was probably missing some points , maybe give it a try ....why not.

...this could fits to a certain theme.

Ehm no, that'll just make it SO much easier for leechers to leech gold. It's not as easy to define when someone is suiciding, because smart leechers will do it in a way that doesn't make it look like it.

Although, and i have absolutely no idea how hard it is to implement, to raise the amount of gold you get the higher your gear is. Meaning, you will receive less gold for wearing peasant equipment (Since the repairs are nearly nothing andnew players get good gold anyway), maybe even mid-tear equipment getting a little less or the same amount and the heavy gear getting quite the buff when it comes to gold. If players earn more money on heavy gear that should definitely encourage everyone to bring their best gear.
Not sure what to do with ranged, though. Should get a buff, too, or just no repairs on arrows (Because they are the problem when it comes to upkeep on archers) and bolts. Throwing is fine imo.

I still don't feel too good about that idea, too. Even right now i rarely lose any gold when going full plate and i don't want to lure too many people from battle/siege to dtv just because it's fucking gold mine.

In my opinion the biggest problem with DTV is that it is really rare to find a team of similar minded people and where there aren't players being exploited by others for free gold and xp. It doesn't help that this gamemode does everything to attract leechers and low level players. I know low level players have to go somewhere, but I would highly prefer if they played something for themselves instead of "relying on" which just means quite literally stealing the efforts of others in a "cooperative" mode.

not if you drop the gold gain per round and leave out repairs, people will slowly gain gold and they won't have to fuck their team in the pooper by choosing leech gear and a dagger.

Solution: Remove upkeep, Remove gold gain.

People will be incentivized to bring whatever gear they want to contribute at maximum capacity to the efforts of their team.

So far Fips, as of last patch, I cant make gold in my normal gear which is medium, and that is because we all die on ninjas. We cant get to higher rounds where the real profit xp and gold wise is. Once in a while the clouds break and we make it to Tihr round to die, but even I armed with the best of my clan and Acre together couldnt get past Tihr. All acre fellows had plate on too, and so did I and my skilled mate Hitla. Ive lost all my gold in DTV and now my items are starting to break. I could break even before because I was at least paid enough to fix my gear and continue the fight but we simply cant get far enough on DTV to make gold.

The ninjas in particular are overpowered, they need a nerf and especially remove the 2hand from the black-lamellar ninjas, they swing through the others worse than old weaboos!

DTV must not become a goldmine, but it most not become straight desert either. I agree, but

If you can make the waves less harsh, that would fix some of the problems now faced, and if the gold was restored to normal, certainly that would right a lot of the wrong. And yet, to go even farther, I approve of no repairs on DTV. It actually sounds like a good idea. And if people are going to suicide anyway which time and time again has shown that they will, why hurt the team by not letting us use our heavier armor? Why not let the leeching scum suicide while the rest of the team survives?

At this point in time, I would make more money by investing all my money in both the lottery and penny stocks than playing DTV with medium armor. Either abolish repairs or lower the bot count for DTV, or players will tire of throwing their money away, and DTV will die.
